Liessfeld named GNAC Athlete of the Year | University of Alaska Anchorage PORTLAND, ORE. - Alaska Anchorage's Vivien Liessfeld capped a medal-filled outdoor season with GNAC Field Athlete of the Year recognition.

Seawolves sign Egyptian JC standout | University of Alaska Anchorage ANCHORAGE – Alaska Anchorage men's basketball coach Cameron Turner has added another international standout to the roster, announcing Friday that Karim Elgizawy has signed a scholarship agreement to play for the Seawolves.

Congrats to Anders Larsen, Ryann Smith, Jessica Chisar, John Peckham and Vivien Liessfeld who each earned All-American honors this season.

Larsen, Chisar and Peckham earn All-American honors | University of Alaska Anchorage EMPORIA, KANSAS – Anders Larsen of the University of Alaska Anchorage earned first-team All-American honors after finishing seventh in the decathlon with 7,041 points, the second-highest total in school history.

Anders Larsen starts day two of the decathlon at 9:30 am, Jessica Chisar runs the prelims of the 800 at 3 pm and John Peckham runs the finals of the steeplechase at 4:15 pm.

Congrats to former Seawolf All-American Megan Mullings (2014-16)! Megan recently capped an MVP campaign in Great Britain's top league by leading the Sheffield Hatters to regular-season and multiple postseason crowns, averaging more than 18 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
