I think I tore this page out of a Sports Illustrated from our PHHS library when I was in HS...because I knew that if I didn't I would never see it again. I've used it to motivate my athletes over the years. Being the racist (human racist) that I am, if you've never read Bill Russell's autobiography - you should. It was awesome!

Some of the best Karate athletes I've met in my 50 plus years in the sport, have been Limpett's (nerds)! They may not be good at other sports, but because of their martial arts training, they are STRONG in CONFIDENCE, and would have no problem taking down a bully boy or girl!

Parents - I've downloaded some pages from the Century Holiday Catalog. If you wanted to get your child something that they can use during class, get them new Nunchaku's or a Bo / Staff (bo should be as tall as they are). The gloves are washable, which is nice; however they are probably too big for most kids. Good for mom's though!

Finally got Mr. Payne's plaque that he had made for our dojang back up in its rightful place. It had fallen off the wall and suffered a small crack, so I had to reinforce it and give it a solid hanger.

Do you see it? What traditional Chung do Kwan form is he running?

Speaking of rolling! It is so cool when your former students go on and continue in the arts and become better than their teacher! Mr. Talbot learning from one of the best!

Martial arts is more than fighting or rolling. It becomes a passion, a way of life and a way to personal fitness...and it is just plan fun to do!

Century will not send me any more Holiday Catalogs so go to their website: www.centurymartialarts.com,
have them scroll to the bottom of the page, in the second column under more info and have them select CATALOGS. There they will find a digital copy of the catalog that they can view or even download.

Founded by a martial artist, Century started in a one car garage in Oklahoma City. As the world’s largest martial arts supplier, we offer a wide variety of martial arts uniforms, belts, sparring gear, punching bags, and much more. We offer products for most all martial art styles that include kara...

We take students where they are at and help them grow exponentially. It is always exciting to watch our new students grow in confidence as they learn new martial arts skill sets!
