Iowa State University's Victory Day Lottery Sign-up -- for children with special needs who are entering 12th grade or below in the upcoming 2026-2027 school year.

Process:
Participation spots are limited to just 80 children. ISU personnel will be selecting participants through a lottery process. Again, to be eligible, children *must* be entering 12th grade or below in the upcoming '26-'27 school year.

Deadline:
The lottery entry deadline is Friday, July 24. All families will be notified by Monday, August 3 via email whether your child has been selected.

Event details:
🏈 Iowa State Athletics & Iowa State Football are excited to be able to invite 80 Central Iowa families with a child with special needs who is entering 12th grade or lower to "Victory Day" — a one-of-a-kind event celebrating children with cognitive and physical disabilities.

✨ After selecting families from a lottery process, ISU personnel will invite families to attend Victory Day on Thursday, August 27, from 6:30–8:30 p.m. at Jack Trice Stadium! Each participating child will take the field alongside an Iowa State football player who will serve as their personal mentor for the evening. It's a night built entirely around giving every child their moment to shine! 🎉

✨ Remember, the lottery entry deadline is Friday, July 24. All families will be notified by Monday, August 3 via email whether your child has been selected.

Ankeny Miracle League ballplayer Evan has this move-around-the-bases thing figured out! 🌟 And homerun hitter Carter hit yet another over-the-fence homerun, forcing Angel Millie to turn on the speed to keep up! 🌟 (Actually, Carter hit 2 over-the-fence home runs today... again! 🌟)

Ankeny Kiwanis Club -- lead volunteer group/program sponsor of Ankeny Miracle League -- has some long-time enthusiastic volunteers... including Stoner, our AMAZING, *inventive* youth league pitcher! Tom pitches for ALL youth league/morning games (unless he's cheering on Iowa State Cyclone Football Team in the fall!)!

Here, Tom's pulled one of his favorite pranks: pitching a baseball that's connected by elastic to Tom's hand... He fooled ball player Cole into swinging at it just as the ball pulled back to Tom! 😆😂 (We think Coach Tim encouraged Tom to play the prank on his son... 😆)

It's all about the FUN in Miracle League, and volunteers make it happen!!
