You were so loved, and your little family is grieving without you. For me and Drew, you were our first baby. You tore up two different carpets in two different houses, and we still loved you.

Watson, we’ll miss giving you scratches and receiving your unsolicited kisses. I hope there’s lots of soft green grass to lie down in where you’re going. 🐕‍🦺

Not every 77 year old starts his birthday with Pilates, but this guy does! 💪 🎂

I finished my first book in 2025 - The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy by Megan Bannen. It was a magical romantasy book with a bit of the macabre thrown in. The main female character is an undertaker and there’s a lot of death, death rituals, and mythology around death in the book, which sounds depressing, but is actually quite life-affirming.

Next up - Evenings & Weekends by Oisín McKenna.

Lemon tart! 🍋

had one request for holiday baking. The youngest and I made this tart for him today. It took some trial and error. We both resolved this year to bake more together in 2025. I love being in the kitchen with her.

Rang in the New Year with a 40-minute jog before the snow and really cold weather arrive tomorrow. It was still a bit chilly 🥶 (felt like 13°) but I warmed up quickly.

One of my 2025 goals is to run a 10k. 🏃‍♀️

Now home to bake a lemon tart 🍋 and soak up the last days of break.

Also, I don’t quite understand my new watch. I think my average jogging pace was more like 11:15, but this average maybe takes into account the warm-up and cool-down times? Any other Garmin users have any insight?
