Disc Golf Club at the University of Michigan

Join us at 4pm this FRIDAY at Riverside Park just outside Kellogg Eye Center for an afternoon/evening of throwing plastic and learning more about the club. Members of the current disc golf club team will be there, and we are excited to meet both old and new faces :) we hope to see y’all there!

National Championships is over and we had an absolute blast. For some of our guys, it’s their final tournament but for the others and our two women, it was their first! We were beyond excited to get to the courses and we made our way through several rounds of practice. Tournament rounds started that Wednesday, and although we all know where our game could have been better, we were beyond thrilled to have simply been able to compete. Brian took home a T30, which is a solid performance during his singles round. We’ve featured some of our best shots on this post, with more to come :)

A huge shoutout to Luke, Brian, and Kelsen, all of whom are graduating this semester. We are so lucky to have yall be a part of the team and we’re excited to see where you guys go in the future.

2024 CDG National Championships! We had a great week here in Rock Hill. After a hot start through the first 7 holes at Camp Canaan for the guys in singles, the technical track showed it's teeth! Our team nearly met all of our goals in teams. Really proud of these guys for fighting through adversity on the course all week. Even in Division 2, this college field is getting so good! We finished tied 45th out of 80 teams, and we are impressed by everyone's performance. We'll be back 〽️💙

Huge shoutout to for continuing to raise the bar, the for having marshalls on the course, and for smoothly running the biggest event any of us have taken part in.

After a pit stop at the DGPT Idlewild course in Kentucky, we have made it to Rock Hill and got all of our practice rounds in. Early start in round 1 with the first 4 singles tee times of the tournament, starting at 7:30am. We are ready to roll😎 GO Blue! 〽️💙

Introducing The Victors! Our team player profiles!
First up, we have Charu Sivakumar, a second year PhD student at UM, who got introduced to disc golf last summer by our very own Brian Basinski. She quickly garnered a stack of her own discs and is looking forward to entering her first tournaments this summer. Charu has found a love in finding disc golf courses across Michigan, some highlights being Boyne Mountain and Hickory Hills in northern Michigan. Aside from her disc golf adventures, Charu spends her time in the UM Life Sciences Orchestra, or hitting up local coffeeshops and bars to find a new place to read her never-ending list of scientific papers.

ALSO – We are looking for a fellow female disc golf player to join the team, so we have a FA team for collegiate events. If you’re interested, or know someone who might be, please DM us! No experience necessary!

First indoor meet was a success!! Shoutout to for taking down the putting bracket to bring home the big purse😉 a well earned win that came down to the last putt!

The University of Michigan team is headed to the College Disc Golf National Championship! We made a pit stop at Idlewild to play a fun round on our way to North Carolina! Go Blue 〽️

We sent two teams to compete in the Falcon Fall Open disc golf event yesterday and our A-team was able to get 3rd place!🥉 Our B-team was also able to play well despite only having a 3 person team. It was great to get out for our first event of the season and we look forward to regionals in November! Go Blue 〽️
