State of Michigan contractors will be doing work in Gallup Park this week. GEI Consultants will be under the US-23 bridge to conduct mussel surveying on behalf of Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) following up to work they did last spring/summer to determine mussel locations. Work is weather dependent and is expected to last 2-3 days. In addition, a geotech company is expected to be doing small soil borings just below the bridge as well. These efforts will NOT DISRUPT park/canoe livery operations or access

The Argo to Gallup trip on the Huron River has reopened with restrictions! ONLY experienced kayakers who are capable swimmers are permitted at this time & NO children under 6.
