Michigan’s Log Cabin Day is two weeks away!

Sunday, June 28, celebrate local history at Parker Mill County Park! Visit our 1880’s log cabin at Parker Mill (4650 Geddes Rd. Ann Arbor from 1pm to 4pm, and imagine life in the pioneer days. Enjoy beautiful Fleming Creek while the children do chores - gathering water, washing clothes, and shelling corn to take to the mill. Children are invited to dress up in pioneer clothing for this day! No registration required.

It's your chance to experience the joys of sleep away camp as an adult! Our annual Women's Nature Camp is a three-day, two-night event, where participants can enjoy songs and stories around the campfire, nature exploration, and nights under the stars. Get your glow on at the Golden Hour Nature Hikes!

Thursday, June 11, enjoy a peaceful and meditative walk in the meadows of County Farm Park as the sun dips below the horizon. The golden glow at the end of the day has proven benefits to health and well-being, including reduced stress and better sleep. Photographers: this is your chance to snap pics under excellent natural light!

All are welcome on this naturalist guided hike, no registration required. The hike starts at 7:30pm from the Platt Rd entrance (2230 Platt Rd, Ann Arbor).

Can’t make next Thursday’s hike? Join us on July 9 at Park Lyndon South or August 6 at West Lake Preserve!

We’ve got an exciting lineup of old-timey play, story hours, and tours of historic locations in Washtenaw County. All programs are free and open to all.

First up, programs at Sharon Mills County Park at 5701 Sharon Hollow Rd, Manchester:
Guided History Walk: Saturday, June 6 10am-1pm
Pioneer Day: Tuesday, June 16 4pm-7pm
Story Hour and Play Time: Wednesday, June 17 10am-1pm
