Naomi has been dancing ballroom for several years, focusing on American Smooth. Her dance background goes back even further. She studied ballet and modern dance from the age of three through her mid-twenties. Today, she enjoys using showcases as a creative outlet and as a motivating goal that helps her continue developing her technique, artistry, and overall dancing.

When she’s not on the dance floor, Naomi works as a clinical psychologist in Ann Arbor and is also a busy mother of three.

We are proud of the dedication, creativity, and joy Naomi brings to her dancing, and we wish her continued growth, success, and fulfillment both on and off the dance floor. ❤️

Here are Aleks and Crystal and Julia and Richard performing a beautiful rumba to A Whole New World from Aladdin at our June 5th Showcase. 💃❤️

Aleks and Crystal train in Windsor with their instructor, Claire. After competing for the first time last fall and participating in several showcases, Aleks continues to grow as a dancer—and this showcase marked Crystal’s very first performance on the ballroom floor!

Julia trains in Ann Arbor with her instructor, Richard. As a busy mom and medical researcher at the University of Michigan, she still makes time for dancing, finding joy, relaxation, and a creative outlet amidst a full schedule.

Together, these two couples brought elegance, connection, and emotion to the dance floor, creating a performance that was a pleasure to watch.

Here is Violet dancing with her instructor, Rob, during our June 5th Showcase, performing a powerful and highly technical Paso Doble that captivated the audience from start to finish.

Violet is one of our most experienced dancers and a familiar face at our showcases. In addition to ballroom, she enjoys and studies other dance styles, bringing a wealth of experience and artistry to every performance. She also competes in Open Gold Latin and Standard and continues to challenge herself at a high level.

Last fall, Violet represented Ballroom At Its Best at Ohio Star Ball, one of the largest ballroom competitions in the United States, and she is already preparing to return this year to compete again in both divisions.

Whether competing or performing, Violet consistently brings dedication, strength, elegance, and passion to the dance floor. Congratulations to Violet and Rob on a fantastic showcase performance and for helping make the evening such a memorable success! ✨💃

✨ SHOWCASE IS TOMORROW! ✨

The countdown is almost over, and our students and professionals are ready to take the floor!

Today we’re shining the spotlight on Aleks, Crystal, Julia, and Richard as they put the finishing touches on their Rumba for tomorrow night’s showcase.

Aleks has been dancing for a couple of years and stepped onto the competition floor for the first time last fall. Crystal is one of the newest members of our dance family, and we’re excited to have her joining us on this dance journey. Together, they have been working hard and getting ready for their moment in the spotlight.

Julia and Richard have also been busy preparing for tomorrow’s performance. Julia takes weekly lessons with Richard and Claire and enjoys focusing on technique and continual improvement. As a busy mom and medical researcher at the University of Michigan, dancing provides a welcome break from the demands of everyday life and a chance to do something she loves.

Tomorrow, this group will be performing their Rumba for all of us, and they look ready to shine. We wish them a fantastic performance!

Just a quick reminder that Wednesday, June 3rd is the last day to grab discounted admission for our Disney themed Showcase! If you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, now’s the perfect time.

Our showcase is happening this Friday, June 5th — and we’re so excited!
Doors open at 7:30 p.m., and performances kick off at 8:00 p.m.

We have an awesome night planned, including:
• Performances by our fantastic students
• A professional show from Richard and Claire
• Lots of social dancing
• Finger-food snacks after the performances
• Semi-formal attire + a little masquerade flair if you want to join the fun!

🎟 Admission:
• $35 per person — through the end of Wednesday
• $40 per person — Thursday and Friday (online or at the door)

This Friday, Violet and Rob will be presenting a strong and powerful Paso Doble, and we can’t wait for everyone to see it!

The evening will feature performances by our students, a professional showcase by Richard and Claire, plenty of social dancing before and after the performances, and finger foods to keep everyone’s energy going.

This year’s theme is Disney, and semi-formal attire is encouraged. We can’t wait to see how everyone brings a little Disney magic to the evening!

Tickets are $35 per person through June 3 and $40 on June 4 and 5. Children 12 and under are $15.

Violet, Rob, and all of our students and professionals have been working hard to create an entertaining and memorable evening, and we would love to share it with you.
