Mission: To develop elite athletes in the Olympic styles of wrestling. Training sessions will focus on teaching, learning, and repeating high-success scoring techniques and strategies that are conducive to winning in all two styles of wrestling (freestyle, and Greco-Roman), in all phases of wrestling (top, bottom, and neutral), and at all levels of wrestling (high school, collegiate, and international). Navy Wrestling Club is the premier local wrestling club. It offers membership to aspiring high school and college wrestlers ages 14-25 years-old living within a 250-mile radius of the U.S.

Alumni Spotlight | Dominic Ewers

20 years in the Marine Corps, a career in real estate, and a mentality he picked up on the mat.

After graduation, Dom spent 20 years in Marine Corps aviation logistics, finishing as Commanding Officer of MALS-11 at MCAS Miramar, then moved into commercial real estate syndication. These days, he and his wife Alexie split time at a cabin they built back in Minnesota, visiting family.

“Wrestlers are just a different breed. Battling it out on the mat forged some lifelong friendships, and throughout my career I kept running into that same ‘you can’t outwork me’ mentality in other wrestlers. I donate because I want to help keep a team growing that builds these kinds of warriors.”

Coach Quinn Kinner on what travel really does for this team:

It’s not just about the competition. Some of the most memorable, most impactful moments happen on the bus rides, the flights, and the downtime in between, whether that’s at World Team Trials, Vegas, or wherever the summer takes the team. Coach Kinner says that time together, alongside athletes like Zac and Elijah, is what builds the culture and the bond this program leans on to fight and sacrifice for each other.

"It wouldn't be possible for us to have this quality time without the support from the alumni and the wrestling community." ⚓

Pete Ricciardi, a Navy Wrestling parent, describes what these tailgates mean to his family. They're a chance to see his son, hear about his week, and just be together, something he doesn't take for granted with the years passing so quickly. They also bring parents and alumni together to swap stories and get to know one another. To Pete, that's invaluable for the strength of this program.
