USNA's High Power Rifle Team Practice goes Tuesdays and Thursdays directly following classes and on select Saturday mornings.

The United States Naval Academy Service Rifle and Pistol Team is a group of dedicated midshipmen who represent the Naval Academy’s marksmanship program. The High Power Rifle ECA was founded in 1986 under the direction of MIDN Gasperino, now CDR Gasperino of the Naval Intelligence Office. This past month, members of the Service Rifle and Pistol Team participated in the 2018 Atlantic Fleet and All-Navy Rifle and Pistol Championship in Quantico, VA. Every year, this competition draws members from every military branch (both active and reserve). Members competed in various individual and team rifle and pistol matches.

The team took 1st Place (among both Navy Large and Small Commands) in the Atlantic Fleet Team Pistol Match. The team scored an 861-5X. Members of that four-person team include LCDR Ermoshkin, MIDN Casey Baker, MIDN Tim Ireland, and MIDN Woosub Kim.

The team took 3rd Place (Navy Large Command) in the Atlantic Fleet Team Rifle Match. The team scored a 1074-14X. Members of that four-person team include LCDR Ermoshkin, MIDN Tim Ireland, MIDN Kurt Pasque, and MIDN Woosub Kim.

For individual awards, MIDN Casey Baker brought home a bronze Excellence in Competition Badge. He placed 3rd among 55 Navy Non-Distinguished Shooters in the All-Navy Individual Pistol Match.
