J/24 & J/22 East Coast Championship

Our J/24 Fleet 8 Raft Up is this Sat, Sept 5!!! It’s time to pack your coolers and your pool floats and get ready for some fun!

Our Party HQ Trawler, 9th Wave, will be on station in Lake Ogleton around noonish. There are lots of boats headed to the raft up, so whether you’re looking for a powerboat ride, a sailboat ride or paddle out, there are lots of ways to get there. If you need a ride from the Anchorage community dock, please call/text Peter, Caroline or I and we’ll send someone in to fetch you.

We will be loading some beverages, hot dogs and cake on the trawler. Please consider bringing a small snack to share, and pack your coolers with additional beverages, lunches, sunscreen, towels, floats, games, and whatever you need to have a great Sat Raft Up.

Bring your family, friends and sailing pals - all are welcome!

Gorgeous night for SSA Thursday Night Racing! Great breeze to start the night with J/24 jibs making their third appearance of the season! Breeze slowly faded throughout the evening but not before RC got off four races for both the J/22s and J/24s.

The consensus is in - it was definitely the windiest HHSW regatta on record (or at least the windiest one any of us can remember)!! Sunday was breeze on, jibs all day and with a few fun broaches for a spring sailing warmup. What’s not to love!

Congratulations to SISU on their 1st Place finish with 6 bullets out of 8 races!! Way to go squad!!

Congrats to Peter Rich and the Buxton crew, our 2nd place team, and Pat FitzGerald and Rush Hour finishing 3rd!

Special thanks to the amazing race committee who worked overtime in incredibly breezy and shifty conditions, running 8 races over 2 days, with only two boats on the course. Thank you for all of your hard work moving marks, left, right, and center all weekend!
