2026 IMA Maxi European Championship, Maxi 1 Class, Leopards Stands Second on the Podium!
👏 Congratulations to Joost Schuijff and the Leopard 3 (Des 591) crew.
The Leopard 3 delivered a strong and consistent week in the Gulf of Naples, racing offshore and around Capri in tactical and unpredictable conditions. The Leopard took advantage of the strong conditions on the final day after damage to the boom earlier in the week. "We had 19 knots of wind on the windward barrel, exactly our sweet spot" said skipper Chris Sherlock. Despite winning the day, it was not enough for the overall victory in Maxi 1.

Overall ORC champions at the 2026 151 Miglia-Trofeo Cetilar. 🏆🌊

Veruna, the Cookson 50, (Design 541) claimed the ORC Challenge Trophy on the Tyrrhenian Sea, with Mon Ile (First 40, Des 608) taking 3rd and QQ7 (Farr 53, Des 779) coming in 5th in the class. A great result for Farr designs on one of Italy's most iconic offshore courses.

This week in Gothenburg, INNOV'SAIL 2026 brings together scientists, engineers, designers, and industry leaders to explore breakthroughs in hydrodynamics, aerodynamics, materials, and performance optimization, the kind of conversation that sits at the heart of what we do at Farr Yacht Design every day.

Farr principal Britton Ward serves on the Editorial Committee for the Journal of Sailing Technology and contributed technical review to this year's conference papers. Three Farr designs, one race, all delivering. 🏆🌊
At the 79th Annual Block Island Race, Oakcliff Farr 40 (Des 374) Blue took 1st in PHRF Class 9 and the Governors Race East Trophy for fastest elapsed time in the PHRF fleet. Oakcliff Red (Farr 40 Turbo) finished 2nd in the same class, and Skye (Farr 395, Des 468) took 4th in PHRF Class 8. 186 miles of tough offshore racing — well sailed by all three crews.

Congratulations to Garmin Team Pro4U on their victory at the 2026 Marstrand Big Boat Race (May 23-24) sailing their First 36.7 (Farr Design 446). Four wins from four races on Day 1 set the tone, and they closed it out in style on Day 2.
