As 2025 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the women I work alongside — the steady leadership, the quiet resilience, and how much is often carried without pause.

Leadership isn’t only about pushing forward. Sometimes it’s about knowing when to stop, breathe, and reconnect with yourself.

On January 25, I’m co-facilitating The Space Between with Kathryn Gaulke and Jaime Kline.

The Space Between is a restorative gathering created for women in the federal ecosystem including contractors, to slow down, reset their nervous systems, and reconnect through mindfulness, gentle movement, sound, and meaningful connection.

You know I love a good metaphor! In this conversation, Amy compares the unpredictable change that's happening right now to hitting a patch of ice while you're driving. She explains that we have to resist the human reflex to slam on the brakes and instead steer into the ice.

It's the perfect metaphor because that out-of-control spin-y feeling is exactly how most of us feel right now.

I think you're going to really love her take on the world, the three trends that make up the current "super cycle" of change (AI, wearable technology, and biotechnology), and the need to increase our capacity for uncertainty (ugh).
