Welcome to the A2B Harmony!
Harmony is a Pogo 12.5 owned and skippered by Barry Salter. Barry started sailing out of the Ocean City, New Jersey Yacht Club at the age of thirteen racing Sunfish then Lasers and crewing on GP-14’s in the senior fleet. He was immediately hooked and it’s been his life-long passion ever since.
Barry and his wife raised their three children on board as their second home for twenty plus years cruising the Chesapeake, and in 2018 he had his first experience as return crew sailing back from Bermuda after the A2B.
In 2020 they purchased Harmony in West Palm Beach, Florida and sailed her non stop—850 miles double handed—back to the Chesapeake. Barry has enjoyed racing Harmony on the Chesapeake—exclusively double-handed—and has competed in Annapolis to Newport events. This will be his third Annapolis to Bermuda race.
In 2022 there were two double-handers and in 2024 Harmony was the only one.
Barry's trusted crew member is Aidan Gray who is an amazing sailor that brings his own set of unique talents on board.
Both Barry and Aidan are looking forward to getting out into turquoise waters, with smooth sailing and a few Dark & Stormy‘s at the finish!

Welcome to the A2B, Huzzah!
Huzzah is a Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 479 owned and skippered by Jason M. Woodson Jason Woodson, and supported by co-skipper Rebekah Bromwell.
Jason, originally hails from San Diego, CA and has always been drawn to the water and started diving at 16 eventually making his way up to PADI Rescue with a penchant for Tech Diving. And he spent endless summers surfing, body-boarding, and finding any excuse to be in the ocean off the southern California coast.
More than 30 years of Military and Government Service reinforces his mindset of preparation, discipline, and adapting when conditions aren’t ideal—something that translates directly offshore.
Sailing became the next evolution. He approaches the boat as a cruiser first, not a pure racer to be fair. He enjoys offshore passages, diving new places, and the unknown that comes with pushing beyond the horizon. There’s a competitive edge, sure—but it’s balanced with a respect for the experience itself.
On board, he values camaraderie and bringing people into the sport—especially those racing for the first time. Everyone has a role, everyone learns, and everyone shares in the outcome. No one is left behind.
The A2B Race is a bucket-list item for the crew, not a pro campaign, and not the biggest boat on the line—just a well-prepared crew, a capable boat, and a shared goal: earn every mile, enjoy the ride, and have a few good stories (and some rum, lots of rum!) waiting at the finish.

Welcome to the 2026 A2B, Second Storm!
Second Storm is an Annapolis-based 2001 Hallberg-Rassy 53 with real bluewater pedigree. She has already circumnavigated and only recently found her way into offshore racing. In the 2024 Annapolis to Bermuda Race, she won her class, and now returns for a second campaign with more experience, sharper teamwork, and an even deeper appreciation for the fun of racing offshore.
Skipper Adam Davis lives in Lititz, Pennsylvania and sails out of Annapolis. He has spent his professional life creating live experiences for audiences around the world, but on the water he is simply a lifelong sailor with a deep love of being offshore. After years of cruising, he has discovered the joy of racing: a clear mission, strong teamwork, and the shared push to sail the boat well.
This year’s crew brings together a great mix of aviation discipline, seamanship, practical skill, and personality. Tony Baca, who captained Second Storm in 2024, returns as navigator for his second A2B. Tactician Ivan Domaniewicz is also back for a second run. Chris Hager joins as onboard doctor for his first offshore race, while Justin Loeb, Gil Lyons, and Chris Ness round out a fun, capable crew that knows how to work hard and enjoy the adventure.
For Second Storm, A2B is about seamanship, camaraderie, and having a blast offshore together.

Welcome to the 2026 A2B, SunBreak!
SunBreak is a 2008 Catalina 470 homeported in Severna Park, MD. She is skippered by Rob Sainsbury, a retired Navy Submariner, who has been sailing since he was about 3ft tall and has owned 3 increasingly sized sailboats (not counting numerous small boats). SunBreak has crossed the Gulf of Mexico, competed in the 2014 A2B (3rd in Class) and completed numerous Coastal Trips.
She will be crewed by: Victor Plavner, a Primary Care Physician, who has over 35 years of boating experience across four different sailboats, the most current one being a 44' catamaran. He has captained offshore boats from Annapolis direct to New England, Florida (x3), Bahamas and US Virgin Islands and crewed during the 2014 A2B
Brad Sainsbury, who started sailing in High School, raced 420's for the University of Washington and has extensive larger boat racing / cruising experience, including the 2014 A2B.
Roger Sexauer has been a waterman his entire life and still enjoys all types of boating with his high school sweetheart, on the Eastern Shore of MD. He has sailed and power-boated since the age of 10. Graduating from the US Naval Academy he served in Nuclear Submarines, ultimately retiring as a Commander.
Mike Farmer has enjoyed sailing and boating since very young. Restoring fiberglass boats and doing his own engine work, Mike has developed an array of skills across numerous boats from 13ft whalers to skipjacks and is working towards his Captains License.
Dennis Sainsbury who recently became interested in sailing. He is a Pharmacist working near Severna Park, MD and expects to learn a lot from the 2026 A2B. Mustang Survival Ullman Sails Goslings Rum Fawcett Boat Supplies Royal Hamilton Amateur Dinghy Club (RHADC) Eastport Yacht Club

us for our next seminar, in preparation for the A2B race, about weather routing and communications. This seminar is designed to help skippers and their crew prepare for the many challenges in racing a sailboat from Annapolis to Bermuda.
The event will be held at the Eastport Yacht Club from 9 a.m. - 12 p.m., and is open to all sailors interested in weather forecasting and navigation in support of making good tactical decisions. Please RSVP at https://www.bermudaoceanrace.com/upcoming-seminar so we are better prepared to welcome you!
Chris Parker developed a passion for boating and weather forecasting from childhood, studying Meteorology at Lyndon State College in Vermont. He lived aboard full-time for 12 years, cruising the Bahamas, Caribbean, Bermuda, and the US East Coast — averaging 5,000 miles annually. His exceptional marine forecasting skills gained recognition among fellow cruisers, leading to over 30 seminars. In 2003, he became Chief Forecaster for the Caribbean Weather Center, then founded Marine Weather Center in 2011, specializing in weather routing for small yachts.
Past A2B skipper Kevin Sherwood will cover the topic of navigation. Kevin is the owner and skipper of Bay Retriever, a J/99, with a long sailing résumé that includes multiple Annapolis-to-Bermuda and Annapolis-to-Newport races in the 2000s. After a hiatus, he returned to racing with the Herrington Harbour Sailing Association before purchasing his J/99 in 2022 and sailing her home from Toronto via the Erie Canal and Hudson River. Bay Retriever's offshore highlights include a 4th-place finish in the 2023 Around Long Island race and a 3rd-place class finish in the 2024 A2B in heavy weather. Kevin returns in 2026 for his second A2B, covering communications and navigation for our seminar.
