| Exploring Annville |
Downtown Annville has many perks and LVCXCTF takes full advantage of them. This small town certainly has a lot to offer. Join us over the next couple of days as we take a look at some of our favorite spots to hang out when we aren’t training!
First up, we have the Quittie Creek Nature Park! This small park is full of trails that are perfect for a short hike, or run, on a sunny day. Hearing the calming sounds of the Quittapahilla Creek is a great way to destress after a long week. The map shows all of the trails as well as some historical features the park has to offer.

Continuing with our alumni words of wisdom series, this past week we heard from three of our physical therapy graduates!
Alisha “Farrell” Greene was truly a Jill of all trades (but also a master of all) and spoke to our track & field team members. Listen to all of these accomplishments ... NCAA qualifier in the long jump, school record holder in the pole vault (11-1.5), multiple time MAC champion in the 400m and member of the conference record 4x100m relay (47.8) and conference championship record 4x200m relay (1:45) just to name a few!
Andrew Goelz & Kelsey Patrick talked with the XC team. Andy qualified to the NCAA championships in the 1500m, running an LVC #2 all-time 3:49. He is also the school record holder in the 1K (2:31) and a member of the relay records indoor & outdoor 4x800m (7:54i, 7:45o) and indoor DMR (10:03).
Kelsey is a 4x NCAA nationals qualifier in cross country, a 3x COSIDA Academic All-American, 2x MAC Runner of Year and the 2013 USTFCCCA Mideast Region Champion & Runner of the Year. Kelsey was a member of our conference record 4x800m relay (9:16) and holds school records in the indoor 3K (10:08), indoor 5K (17:31) and outdoor 10K (37:54).

That’s a wrap for the fall
For our last week of practice we had a slew of inter-team competition; ranging from some fun and wacky events (70m hurdles, odd sprint medleys, distance mixed-gender 4x4s) to the more traditional (1600m, pole vault, long/triple/high jump, shot put and weight throw).
Beautiful weather made for a memorable experience. Grateful for the time together!
Our beautiful park where we host 2 cross country invitationals each fall!
It’s nice to lace em up every now and again. Last night #lvcxc participated in the MAC Virtual 5K competition and had 75% of our competing athletes notch lifetime PRs. Check out the athletes that took off the most time from their previous best!
Tomorrow evening a bunch of the LVCXC crew will be looking to throw down some 5K PRs on the track. Men + Lauren Wick will race at 6, our ladies will race at 6:20.
We are live-streaming on GoDutchmen.com/watch
Putting a face and a voice to a name can be a powerful thing. Over the next few weeks some of Coach O’Brien’s best have submitted videos talking about their LVC careers and sharing words of wisdom with our current crew.
Jennifer Cronin ‘11 put the wheels in motion for all of our current success. She was a 3x NCAA Qualifier (2x in XC, 1x in TF - 1500m). Her biggest accolades include winning the 2009 NCAA Mideast Regional Championships as well as earning the 2011 MAC Indoor Track Athlete of the Year. Jenn’s best times were 2:18 (800m), 4:36 (1500m), 5:06 (mile), 11:24 (3K Steeple), 17:18 (5000m) and 21:39 (6K XC). She still holds the school record in the steeplechase, 5000m and as a member of our distance medley relay! #lvcxc #alumnispotlight
On this foggy morning in Annville, we are reminded that we must quietly put in the work for the opportunities ahead. #golvc #lvcxc #lvctf

2020 MAC Mixed Gender 4x2 Mile Relay Results
Yesterday, the Middle Atlantic Conference posted results from our virtual competition and we are delighted to pick up the win in our first race since early March. We are fully aware that each team approached this competition with a different level of seriousness (and that York would have been right there with us had they put their best team in one squad). However, it was AWESOME to have the opportunity to put ourselves out there and have a little fun competing! #lvcxc #bettertogether
Thanks LVC Athletics for grabbing some photos from our competition tonight!
A little MAC friendly competition for #lvcxc under the lights of Arnold Field this evening! #godutchmen
Tonight, the #lvcxc squad hit the track and competed in a MAC-sponsored Mixed Gender Relay Race of 4x3200m.
LVC’s A team of Noah Griffin (9:48), Lauren Wick (11:15), Tanner Haynes (9:58) and Lauren Bunke (11:57) hope to hold their own against the rest of the conference. Strong times considering all we’ve overcome during these past 8 months. #underthelights
Back on track (and field)
Last spring, as you are all fully aware, the world came to a screeching halt and one of the many things lost was our outdoor track season. This fall, we are actually able to get back into the swing of things a month earlier than normal. It’s the little things we must enjoy and spending quality time together while putting in work is priority #1!
Congratulations to Coach Perry on an excellent career!
Juliana is also serving in her second year as an assistant coach with our cross country program after completing her eligibility in the fall of 2018.

Community service is an important part of who we are at LVC. Today, Coach O’Brien joined Coach Corcoran (LVC field hockey) and Head AT Chuck Yasinski for a day of building with Habitat For Humanity in Lebanon city. It was a hot one but they were able to help frame out an upstairs laundry room, closet and bathroom along with weather-proofing an outdoor corridor. Also, no one lost any fingers, always a good thing. #dutchmenserve #lvcxc @ Lebanon, Pennsylvania
