What an action packed fun filled weekend for Gauge and dad. The festivities all started on Friday morning. Gauge and I finished all our maintenance Friday morning and headed north to Antigo. Friday was practice and racing the big 1/2 mile oval track. It was crazy to see how fast the kids were running. Someone mentioned a clocked speed of the upper 90's were ran, that's crazy!
Gauge had a great 2nd place finish in his 400 class on the Z that night.
Then a great night of sleep on air mattress in the trailer...NOT..
Saturday morning after some overnight rain rolled through, the crews were able to work the track and start the very long day of tt track racing. Again, this was a crazy fast track and the kids were flying! There was an amazing amount of quads running this event.
Gauge had a wonderful day figuring out the best way to run and ended up grabbing a 1st place, 3rd and a 4th place finish. He got the guts to run a Pro class and actually snagged a 3rd place finish in that. Was amazing...
After our final race at around midnight, we decided to pack up and head home so we could have time to get ready for today's (Sundays) race.
Got a solid couple hours of sleep, did some more maintenance and light repairs then headed up to Mauston.
Gauge started off a little tired, but ended up finishing the day with a strong 1st and 2nd place finish in his classes.
Uggghhhh, we are back home and ready for some well needed rest. Thank you to all that have supported us this far and continue to send your prayers and best to Gauge and all the kids out there. Nothing better than watching these kids live the best life we can wish for them.
Also thanks again to our family and sponsors. Couldn't do this without you guys!
