I've been blessed with an amazing wife in Linda, an amazing daughter in Meg, and a wonderful son in Wesley! Plus, Wes's lovely wife, Kayla, PLUS their beautiful baby Abo! (Avery).

This is Meg, Linda, and I are our Saturday Easter Service at Fellowship Church! I helped them serve in hospitality after serving during the Good Friday service for Pastor Detail. It was great fun!

I don't post much anymore but I belong to a couple of groups on Facebook, one of which is my Piano group. I just found it fascinating that several people are 'ripping' on a person and for the life of me, I am not sure why.

I don't think they like what he had to say, but geez, this is a country that is founded on principles of freedom - speech, religion, assembly, etc. If we don't like someone's post, move on... You don't have to stop and criticize them from your vantage point.

Most faculty at the college I work out appear to be liberal and very 'left.'

Okay.

That's great.

While I have very often voted 'left' in the past, at this stage of my life, I tend to align with the conservative view more than the liberal view although I want everyone to have the opportunity to not only survive in this world but thrive.

While I am not a fan AT ALL of Kamala Harris and have spent a ton of hours actually looking at what she (and her opponent) have done in the past, and have already voted for her opponent, if she wins, while I will be sad, I would hope and pray that she does a good job and helps everyone.

Be the model you wish to see in the world...

Be patient.

Be kind.

Be generous.

Be forgiving.

Be the living embodiment of Jesus Christ to the best of your ability.

Celebrate that people are different and have different views but that's a beautiful thing!

I don't post much anymore as life is full in so many ways. I do notice as I listen around the campus that many people are still so angry about so many things.

While I am a faith-based person and I do believe in following who I believe is the greatest teacher the world has ever known in Jesus Christ, I still live in this world and I witness so many people 'hating' on each other, different groups, different political parties, and just not being happy.

I know that in many ways people's unhappiness is a projection of something being unhappy within themselves and their own lives but we still live in this world with each other.

I've noticed the anger spouted by so many people concerning this upcoming election season.

I'm not going to give you an answer but I would ask everyone a simple question that refers to your local city, county, state, and federal elections: IF THE CITY, STATE, OR FEDERAL elected officials have made the last few years BETTER, keep them in office.

If you are in a worse place in your city, state, or federal level BASED ON YOUR DOING YOUR HONEST DUE DILIGENCE, then vote them out of office.

I don't care who's in - republican or democrat, if the city, state, or government is worse, vote them out and get some new people in there AND HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE TO THEIR CAMPAIGN PROMISES.

Give them some time to show you the progress that they've made backed up by HONEST EVIDENCE. If they can't get them out WAY before their term is up. How long would you let someone come into your business and run it into the ground before getting rid of them?

As for me, in my due diligence, EVERYTHING needs to change government-wise. Local, state, and federal. For me, it's a huge no-brainer.

Look at the evidence in your city, state, and federal level FOR YOURSELF. Don't rely on corrupt medial. Look at the state websites and check out the numbers and make a decision for yourself. Then vote and then let it go and support your community, your state, and your government as best you can, EVEN IF YOU DISAGREE WITH WHO GOT IN THERE. Give the person a chance to prove to you that they are working for the people.

Call of the Soul with Ray – Introduction Interview April 20/24 | (newsforthesoul.com)

I want to write this post and be done.

I don't know that I won't hide it in the future.

This is the last picture of our beloved cat, Rain.

We had to put her down quite unexpectedly as when we got home on Sunday from Hawaii, we noticed how skinny she had gotten in just a week and her fur looked funny.

We took her in and quickly found out she had cancer and was septic.

Linda, Meg, and I have been in shock since last night.

Linda and I have work, and meetings, and are trying to take our minds off this but it has been so brutal.

A river of tears in the last 24 hours.

The lesson?

It reminds me of how much you can love something - a person, a pet, and how much they can love you and change your life.

Rain was so special to me as I was her protector.

Wesley, who isn't really a pet person anymore still found a place in his heart for Rain.

God, I miss her.

If I am ever blessed to make it to heaven, I want to wake up and see Rain there waiting for me.

We have been so blessed to have so many incredible pets and Rain was special.

The minister of our church wants us each to have a word that we focus on this year. A special word that you have to search in your heart for.

I have been slow to come up with mine this year.

Until now.

Rain is my word because not only was she a pet I dearly loved, but her name reminds me that sometimes Rain must fall and in doing so, it allows us to grow, heal, and appreciate the beauty that God shows us every day.

Rain.

I love you, Dear One, and I look forward to seeing you again, Little One.

I know it has been a while since we've chatted and I hope your life is unfolding as you would have hoped and dreamed! I'm actually going to be doing "a little" small group for our church in basic self-defense - NOT our full-blown training but it keeps me in the mindset of martial arts.

I still seem to get requests either from old students, current students in my college psychology classes, or people I work out with to share some of the ideas that may go into being a healthier person. This was one of the things I loved about our martial arts school aside from the great workouts - sharing ideas, stories, and tools that people might consider in living their lives.

In the world now where I am teaching at 4 colleges but now, with the Covid thingy going on, it is all online and I spend so much of my time "grading" papers, I miss the sharing part.
