Meet the owner of Ignite Dance Academy, Ms. Allison!

Allison began her dance career at 3 years old at a small recreational studio in Auburn, Indiana and soon realized that dance was her passion. She then trained extensively for 7 years up to the pre professional at Fort Wayne Ballet. She supplemented her ballet training at Richmond Ballet’s Summer Intensive Program.

At 16, she continued her ballet training through Grant Training Program in Fort Wayne. She decided to expand her experience as a dancer by joining Ratio Dance, a 37x National Champion competition dance studio. Through her experience as a dancer, Allison developed the dream of bringing an accessible, quality studio to her own hometown of Antwerp, Ohio. She is bringing her full repertoire of experience and training in ballet, jazz, musical theater, lyrical, tap, acro, and contemporary to Ignite Dance Academy to make it a dance studio unlike any other in the area.

Join us for adult ballet tonight @7:30 for FREE! If you like the class, get yourself a punch card! $95 for 10 classes and your 11th class is free! To sign up for tonights class, email [email protected]!

This season we will be offering online punch cards instead of our normal monthly tuition! Punch cards are a great way for adults wanting to start dance, get toned, and stay active with less commitment! The best part about the punch card is that you can use your card for any of the adult classes! You can feel free to try out any class at any time or you can stick to what you like best!

Meet Miss Chloe!

Miss Chloe was originally from the Wayne Trace area. She attended college at Ohio State, studying business marketing with a minor in dance. While at Ohio State she trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Modern, Ballroom, Musical Theatre and more. After returning to the area after graduation, she has returned to the stage in many local productions. Chloe originally was trained and taught in Fort Wayne at Studio 149, is so excited to share her passion with a new generation of dancers!

Did you know that Ignite offers a musical theater dance class? The class is great for theater kids wanting to improve their dancing skills by learning technique, learning choreography, and different styles of musical theater! This class is perfect for everyone wanting to become a well rounded dancer!

We offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, musical theater, hip hop, boys hip hop, lyrical, acro, and parent/tot classes along with our competitive team! Ages 1-18!

AND don’t forget about our adult classes, it’s never too late to start dancing! Get your punch cards for adult classes! Adult ballet, intermediate tap, and Spice Moms (Strength/Stretch & some spicy choreography 🔥 Ages 18+

Meet Ms. Olivia! We are so lucky to have Olivia with us for season four!

Olivia McFarren is a Fort Wayne native and a recent graduate of Ball State University with a BFA in Dance, getting a Faculty Award for her work within the Department of Theatre and Dance. While at Ball State Olivia had the opportunity to train and perform in various styles from ballet, to jazz, to hip-hop. Her most memorable performances include “Victoria” in Cats under direction and choreography by Anne Beck and musical direction by Micheal Rafter, and Fusion, a celebration and combination of West African and Hip-Hop dance with choreography by Jenn Meckley and Ishmael Konney. Olivia was also lucky to work with guest choreographers such as Jane Lanier from the Verdon/Fosse Legacy Foundation, Paige Cunningham Caldarella from the Merce Cunningham Trust, and in an original piece by Sidra Bell. Last summer Olivia trained at The Ailey School Professional Division Summer Intensive where she worked with choreographer Judine Summerville while immersing herself in all things dance. She is so excited to share what she has learned about dance with the future generation of dancers, creating an environment of hard work, support, and joy. You can learn more at oliviamcfarren.com!
