Our long awaited Cary City Meet 2026 theme is……..

🦅 Wahoos Partying in the USA: Celebrating 250 Years of America!

We are so excited for this year’s theme and can’t wait to show our team and country pride! Just think-- Red, White and Blue. Bald Eagles. Patriotism. George Washington. American Flags. Stars and Stripes!

WE NEED YOU! Our goal is to bring at least 25 swimmers with us to Cary City on July 11th. However, the more the merrier! We would love to have as many Wahoo swimmers as possible! All age groups are welcome!

WHY? This is a super fun event that doubles and triples in fun when we have maximum participation. It’s a swim meet but also think of it as a giant block party that includes all the local swim teams in the Southern League of TSA! You have to see it to believe it :)

If we reach our 25 swimmer registration goal by June 29th…we will have celebratory BOMB POPS one day after practice!

Hey Wahoos!

Thanks for hanging with us through the weather and heat last night at Amberly! The final score was Walden Creek: 132 and Amberly: 361, with Amberly declared the winner. We still have many “wins” to celebrate–lots of new personal bests this week–which is especially celebratory given the extra pool length! Awesome job to Kate Hartmann–she was our Triple Winner for the week. High point scorers included Audrey Hetfeld, Coach Lauren and Carson White–woo hoo!

Next week we take on the Highcroft Hurricanes at our home pool. Please make sure to get those swimmer declarations in by 5PM on Saturday and your dinner pre-orders (grill items and pizza) in by 8PM on Sunday.

Additionally–we are VERY SHORT on volunteers for this meet. If you are able, please consider picking up a volunteer shift otherwise we may be in danger of not being able to run this meet. Clerk of course, kid pushers and timers are high priority and we may need to get creative with other positions or run leaner than usual for this meet. If you are able to help–either comment on this post or email [email protected]. Your help is greatly appreciated! Swim meets can’t happen without YOU :)

Hello Wahoo Parents and Families!

What theme would you recommend for the epic Cary Swim Meet in July???

We would love your ideas — and to see you there!

We have officially registered for this truly fun team event. The more definitely makes the merrier at this one!

We can also arrange for carpools if you are not able to make it but your kiddos want to be a part of the fun.

Let’s hear suggestions so we can start planning!🎉

Reminder! Please declare your swimmers by 5pm tomorrow for the meet at Amberly on 6/23.

A few important things:

-Amberly's pool requires one signed waiver form per family to enter their pool. Amberly staff will be checking our families in upon arrival. Please fill out waiver in advance of arrival to speed the process up: https://ampoa.formstack.com/forms/visiting_swim_team_waiver

-This week's theme is "Back in Black" and we would love to see all our Wahoos in our "Back in Black" swim caps. If you don't already have one, you can purchase here for a special discounted price : walden-creek-wahoos.square.site

We will distribute purchased caps on Monday night at practice.

Weekly newsletter and Meet Doc coming Sunday night!
