IF YOU THINK LIFTING WEIGHTS IS DANGEROUS, TRY BEING WEAK.

Try being a target of predators because you're a "little old lady".

Try being a fall risk.

Try needing to lean on bars so you can get up and off of the toilet.

Try watching everyone else have fun because you're too out of breath/tired/weak/overweight to participate.

Try dying before you are supposed to.

Guys, this isn't about looking good in a bikini. Although that would be a wonderful side effect ๐Ÿ˜‰

It's about living to your full potential even with ALL the crap you've neglected.

It's not too late and you're not too far gone!

TAKE THE ON RAMP. MERGE. ACCELERATE.

This is how you enter a highway, correct?

This is how you get where you want to go, correct?

So then WHY are so many of us wishy-washy when it comes to making changes in our health and fitness.

I did it.

I kind of rode that little dividing line where the ramp meets the highway.

You know what happens when you do this on a road? You run out of road and end up stuck.

You know what happens when you do this in life when achieving your goals? You run out of momentum and get stuck.

It was when I developed a vision of who I wanted to be and lived like that person that changes happened. Upped my standards.

I speak to women all of the time who never even mention this when I ask, "What have you done to fix this problem?"

It never fails. I hear about keto, MLM products, the latest weight loss drug or some starvation packaged diet food program.

They never mention themselves. What's on the inside.

It's not their fault, though. There's always someone trying to capitalize on other people's pain.

Like I say - I help women lose someone on the inside so they can lose someone on the outside.

We are at the end of June.

How long are you going to wait until you fix this once and for all?

How many times are you going to post photo after photo of alcohol, food and more alcohol thinking that this is living well or that it's fun?

Again, I have been that person.

But what you don't realize is that you're killing yourself.

QUESTION - How does your life at 70 years-old look if you keep doing what you've been doing?

Guys, you get one body. If you're abusing it, it will not last.

My next 12-week round is beginning on Monday.

I'll coach the s**t out of you.

I'll coach the BU****IT out of you so that you can accelerate into a happy, healthy life that you yourself designed.

"IF YOUR DREAMS DON'T SCARE YOU, THEY'RE TOO SMALL."

Now hang with me here if that quote made you roll your eyes or feel lost.

I have read that quote so many times and I have always felt that it's not a good starting place.

Too intimidating.

I remember the first time I read it.

A big dream of mine was to be able to cross my legs while sitting in a dress.

Heck, I wasn't even at the dress point in my life. Like, a normal dress. The only dresses that fit me were caftans.
A tight evening gown? Forget it. Too far out of my reach as I approached 50 years on this earth.

But here's the thing about dreams, they are uniquely YOURS and they can grow and be scaled.

Scaled FORWARD, not back.

So if you read that quote and your first thought is, "Dreams? I just want to be able to walk onto an airplane and not need to ask for a seatbelt extender."

Guess what? THAT IS YOUR DREAM!

Go get it.

Then get another.

And another.

And another.

That's how dreams work.

Today is World Mental Health Day.

I lost my dad to depression and su***de.

My dad was very capable. Served in the United States Navy Submarine Service.

My dad did his Masters and EdD at George Washington University.

My dad was an administrator at what was (at the time) the largest high school in the state of Maryland.

My dad has 3 beautiful granddaughters that he loved spending time with. One of which was just a baby.

But my dad didn't share how serious his depression had become and didn't ask for help.

I think sometimes accomplishments make us think that we need to put up a brave front.

I can't tell you why he didn't ask for help because he never discussed any concerns with me.

I NEVER saw his su***de coming, but after I familiarized myself with the signs, they were all there.

Get outside in the sunshine and nature. Stop drinking alcohol and eat good, whole foods. Exercise. Find a community of people who support you - one of the reasons I announced my fitness & wellness community today.

Find CONNECTION.

ADMIT you don't have it all together.

Ask for HELP.

Whether you ask someone you know or reach out to a therapist.

This is about YOU and your life. Your happiness. Your FUTURE.

I miss my dad as much today as I did at that terrible moment on June 8, 2002. My kids never even really got to know him.

Mental illness is real, but it does not mean that you are crazy or beyond repair.

You are needed in this world.

You are loved.

You are special.

You are unique.

Don't rob the world of you.
