Summer came and went, and now the kids are back in school.
Like many families, you may have spent the summer enjoying time outdoors, making memories with family, traveling, relaxing, and soaking up a different pace of life. But now that routines are starting to settle back in, it’s a great time to ask yourself:
Did I make progress toward my fitness goals?
Did I have fitness goals in the first place?
And most importantly — what’s my plan moving forward?
If you’re ready to get back into a healthier routine, here are 3 keys to focus on:
✅ Ease back into things
Give yourself permission to start where you are. You don’t need to rush, overdo it, or make up for lost time. Small, consistent steps matter.
✅ Build sustainable habits
Focus on long-term progress, not quick fixes. The goal is to create habits you can actually maintain through busy seasons of life.
✅ Take advantage of the season
The weather is still beautiful, so use it. Get outside, go for walks, bike, hike, play with your kids, and soak in some Vitamin D while you move your body.
Your health journey doesn’t have to be overwhelming, and you don’t have to figure it out alone.
As a certified personal trainer and owner of CORE: Fitness Camps & Training, I’d love to have a conversation, help you set realistic goals, and support you as you build a plan that fits your life.
