⚽🔥 OPENING WEEKEND IS HERE! 🔥⚽

The wait is over! Our HDYSL Fall 2026 season officially kicks off this weekend, and we’re excited to have everyone back at Brewster Park! 💙⚽

⭐ Games of the Week will resume next week, but we already have some action to highlight from our older divisions!

Our U14 Girls kicked off their season last weekend, and Angel City will look to start the season 2-0 as they take on Victorville at home this weekend! 💪

🔥 In U18 Coed, Liverpool faced Storm in a matchup of unbeaten teams. Storm entered the game without conceding a goal, but Liverpool came out on top in a thriller, 2-1!

⚽ In U18 Girls, Manchester City also took on Storm, with the two teams battling to a 1-1 draw.

⚽️ HDYSL FALL SEASON UPDATE ⚽️

We’re almost ready to kick off another great season! Here are a few important updates for our HDYSL families:

📅 SCHEDULES ARE LIVE!
Fall season schedules are now available on our website at hdysl.soccer. Please check your team’s schedule and start getting ready for opening weekend September 18–19!

👕 UNIFORMS
Uniforms are here! We are currently sorting and distributing uniforms to coaches throughout the weekend. Coaches will provide their teams with information regarding uniform pickup/distribution.

🟨 INTERESTED IN BECOMING A REFEREE?
We are always looking to add new referees to our crew! We will be holding a Referee Clinic this Saturday, September 12th, from 7:30 AM–10:00 AM at Brewster Park.

The normal starting age for referees is 13+, when they are eligible to begin the process of becoming officially licensed. Depending on soccer knowledge and experience, we have also had referees as young as 10 begin gaining experience with our younger divisions.

⚽ FALL 2026 SEASON UPDATE ⚽

We’re getting closer to another season of HDYSL soccer and can’t wait to see everyone back on the fields. Here are some important dates and reminders for our Fall season:

📅 OPENING WEEKEND
September 18 & 19

👕 UNIFORMS
Uniforms are expected to arrive the week before opening weekend and will be distributed through your coaches.

⚽ PRACTICES
U8-U14: May begin as early as the week of August 24
Tiny Tots & U6: May begin the week of August 31

We are finalizing rosters and coaches throughout this week. Coaches will contact families once their roster has been released.

📣 COACHES STILL NEEDED
We are still looking for volunteer coaches in most divisions. All coaches must complete Live Scan before rosters can be released.

We will help get you set up, and coaches choose their own practice day, time and park based on availability. Please reach out if you are interested in helping.

⏳ WAITLIST PLAYERS
We will begin placing players from the waitlist once we have secured coaches for our existing teams.

If your child is currently on the waitlist and you are willing to coach, or know someone who is, volunteering to take a team guarantees your child a spot off the waitlist. Please reach out today.

📸 PICTURE DAY
October 24

Picture packages will be available for families who would like to purchase them. More details will be announced as we get closer.

🏆 U18
Our U18 teams begin games next week. We’re excited to see our teams back in interleague action and get Fall soccer underway.

🔄 TEAM/COACH SWITCH REQUESTS
Coach requests are not guaranteed. We do our best to accommodate team changes when there is a practice conflict or rideshare situation, but changes depend on available roster space.

Please remember that uniforms are ordered based on each player’s original team and registered size. If a player switches teams after uniforms have been ordered, they will receive whatever uniform size is available for the new team.

A FEW SEASON REMINDERS:

• Shin guards are required for practices and games.
• Cleats are recommended but not required.
• Practice days, times and locations are selected by each volunteer coach.
• Game schedules will be released once teams and divisions are finalized.
• Please make sure your contact information is current.

There is a lot happening behind the scenes over the next few weeks as we finish building teams, clear coaches and prepare for opening weekend. We appreciate everyone’s patience and especially appreciate all of our volunteers who make each season possible.

⏰ Registration Deadlines
🔹 U18: July 27 — Only 3 days left!
🔹 Tiny Tots – U14: August 5

🎓 U18 players: Our season finishes before the high school season begins, so players can participate in both HDYSL and high school soccer!

📅 Practice Information
⚽ U18 practices are expected to begin within the next week.
⚽ Tiny Tots–U14 practices are expected to begin in late August.

🏃 Practice Schedule:
• Tiny Tots–U8: 1 practice per week
• U10 and older: 2 practices per week

Practice days and times are selected by our volunteer coaches after teams are formed. If there is a day your player cannot practice, please include it in the Special Requests section during registration, and we’ll do our best to accommodate it.

⚽⭐ SPRING ALL-STAR GAMES ARE HERE! ⭐⚽

Our Spring Season may be coming to a close, but we have one more exciting event before we wrap things up!

🔥 U6 All-Star Games kick off TONIGHT!

⭐ Tiny Tots, U8, U10, U12, and U14 All-Stars take the field tomorrow from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Brewster Park.

⭐ U18 All-Stars will play Sunday at 9:30 AM.

Come out and watch some of the top players from across the league compete one last time this spring season! These players have earned the opportunity to represent their teams and divisions, and we can’t wait to see them in action.

☕ Brew Moo Coffee will be on-site tomorrow morning, so stop by and grab a drink while enjoying the games.
