Memorable Moments!

Almost every dog has a nickname, but MDX might have to retract our favorite Potato’s after this weekend. Gabriel was not the biggest fan of weight pull when his mom, Jamaria, first harnessed him up. But boy did he show up this past weekend! After hard work from him and his mom, Gabriel earned an impressive FIVE max pulls in A division, was awarded most weight per pound in A division 4 times, earned his United Weight Pull Champion Excellent title, moved up to B division, and earned another 25 points towards his next title!

This was truly a culmination of the hard work Jamaria and Gabriel have put in. Our club is so honored to celebrate this milestone weekend with them. While Gabriel will always be our favorite Potato, we certainly need a new nickname for him on the weight pull track!

The MDX dogs had a great weekend with the Middle Georgia Kennel Club! Four MDX dogs traveled to Perry, Georgia to compete and earned a total of 20 max pulls and 645 points between them!

Dora earned 3 max pulls and 160 total points as well as three awards for being the highest pulling American Bully. Aoife earned 6 max pulls and 180 points. Iorek earned 6 max pulls and 180 points. Gabriel earned 5 max pulls, earned his United Weight Pull Champion Excellent title, moved up to B division, and earned a total of 125 points.

As always, we are so proud of the hard work these dogs put in every trial weekend. Thank you to the Middle Georgia Kennel Club for a great weekend and thank you to judges Rachel Richards and Theresa Thomas.

Thank you so much to everyone who braved the rain and came out for our first North American Weight Pull Association sanctioned event! All of the dogs pulled their hearts out and several dogs earned new titles. A huge congratulations to Leon on winning Most Weight Pulled for both trials today! And congratulations to Kepler and Aoife for winning Most Weight Pulled Per Pound!

Thank you again to all of the amazing competitors that came out today! Thank you to our judges, Rachel Richards and Theresa Thomas. And a very special thank you to everyone who helped to set up and move block in the rain!

MDX members had an awesome time at the HAMPTON ROADS KENNEL CLUB show this past weekend! Four members competed with their dogs and each dog walked away with multiple class placements. The dogs (pictured from left to right) worked hard for their owners and we couldn’t be prouder.

Iorek earned 105 points, 4 class placements, 3 max pulls, his United Weight Pull Ultimate title, and his United Grand Weight Pull Champion title.

Aoife earned 125 points, 5 class placements, 3 max pulls, and her United Elite Weight Pull Champion title.

Gabriel earns 90 points, 5 class placements, and 3 max pulls.

Dora earned 85 points, 5 class placements, and 3 max pulls.

Bishop earned 50 points and 4 class placements.

Monarch earned 80 points and 5 class placements.

Congratulations to the whole team! Thank you to HRKC for another great weekend and thank you to judges Theresa Thomas and Rachel Richards for running some great pulls!
