What a nice stretch of weather we got going..!
Our trails guys are taking full advantage and getting our trails ready for when the snow flies..!
We're finishing up with brush hogging on Trail C-3 / S-30.

With this great weather, and with it being archery season, the landowner gave us permission to due some brush hogging and trail clearing on S-38.

Our trail guys were out in full force today..!
With this excellent weather we have going on, our guys have really been non-stop clearing and brushing back our trails.
Today, we had crews in all areas of our network.
Guys were working on our trails north of Arcade, NY and then crews were also on the south side of town.
With this nice dry weather, we were able to brush hog many soft spots to get the golden rod and brush knocked down & chopped back.
Many thanks goes out to all our trail guys & gals... and to all our Landowners for allowing us to go thru with the trails.
Our guys were working all day, and this is the only snap shot that we were able to get.

Trail work continues..! It is a busy time of the year.
On S-36, we had to re-route a part of that trail.
We cut thru some real thick brush to open up a lane, then wided it from there.
Then we had a crew on the south end of our network putting some finishing touches on S-30, where the large washout was, making it real smooth.
A big thank you goes out to the landowner, and the guys that got it done..!!

We wish we had some pictures to share, but our guys have been so busy with trail work and equipment maintenance that we didn't even have time to snap a few of what we've been up to.
Brush hogging & mowing is on going, crews have been working both our northern trails along with guys out on our southern sections.
More sign posts got painted along with the trail signs getting organized and prepped for trail marking.
Landowner permissions were mailed out and many have been returned so far.
Our first monthly club meeting will be next Tuesday, Sept 22nd, at the Arcade VFW Post, 7 pm. Please join us to catch up on all the club's activities.

Another huge task checked off our summer to-do list..!!
This past spring, we had a bad wash out on trail S-30, south of Cutting Rd, east of Lime Lake, in the Machias NY area.
A HUGE Thank You goes out to everyone who helped with getting the trail back in place..!
Thank You goes out to those that moved the big equipment, brought fill in, operated the machinery, and did the work..!

( In places the wash out was over 8' deep. Gravel, fill, rocks had to be brought in, along with reclaiming railbed material that originally washed out. Trees and stumps were removed "upstream" to prevent it from happening again. Trail surface was packed tight.)

The summer is in full swing, but our guys are out there getting the trails ready for this coming snowmobiling season..!

We got the bridge all done south of Arcade, on Trail C-3.
A big shout out goes to the new landowner where this bridge is, Thank you for allowing us to keep our existing trail in place.

Other guys have been out brush hogging other trails thru-out our network.

And work is being done on Trail S-30 / C-3 where the spring rains caused a big washout.

To all our trail guys and landowners.... Thank You..!

Brush hogging of the trails has begun..!
Even with the windy rainy weather that blew thru today, our guys were still out getting some grass & brush cut back.
