NEW PUTTING LEAGUE!

Friday nights
Arcata Community Center
321 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr Parkway, Arcata

Putting league is back! We’re pleased to announce that some of our friends with City of Arcata are bringing back putting league for the fall/winter long nights!

November will be a trial run, with weeklies starting in January!
11/6 - 6-8pm
11/13 - 6-8pm
11/20 - 8-10pm

$3 drop-in fee with free prizes and games to make putting league more inclusive for all levels of play! Each week will have different putting games and rotating TD’s to change things up. Our goal is to break away from the same folks taking home money every week so we can bring in more people and encourage everyone to have fun throwing discs!

No alcohol or smoking inside the community center

Can’t wait to see you all there!

10/29/2026

Toryn with Fly Lab Disc Golf Shop will be at Member Appreciation Day with the shirt press and this box of Flyin’ Lynx transfers.

People can bring garments and such and go nuts with it

Caleb Gribi will also be able to press discs into flat top discs if you want to change it’s stability

Discs need to be somewhat flat/mild dome to start to make it FAF. Will not work on domey discs

So bring discs to flatten and clothes to press! Just be sure leave some transfers for others who want to do that same ;)

HEAVER FEVER:

1. Huge thanks to everyone who helped out at the work parties!!!!

2. As I stated before, CHP speed traps in Willow Creek. He was out there again today as I drove home from a work trip.

3. For the Heave, remember to practice Radical Self Reliance. (more Heave posts to come).

4. Early weather forecast is indicating a UNKNOWN HEAVE. Always be prepared for anything when visiting the Ranch, however. Big Lebowski screening and White Caucasian drink bar on Thursday night. Dress appropriately (bathrobe, bowling shirt, etc).

5. We'll be using UDisc digital scoring with limited Wi-Fi access available during business hours. WiFi will be shut off after scoring is completed. Please download the app (free version is fine) this week or next before going out there. Paper will be available, but honestly digital saves hours of time for tournament organizers and eliminates math errors.

6. Think about how you can add to the vibe. Halloween decorations (no fake cobwebs, plz). And then do it.

7. We'll be giving away 2 baskets, 1 for raffle and another for a CTP contest. Am player's pack is worth way over entry fee so it'll be a play for trophy thing. Pros will have significant $$ added, TBD. Pros get a tournament disc and other stuff will be for sale.

8. We need raffle donations! Bring it on.

9. Nobody HAS to ram. But it's 7 years of bad luck if you don't, and non-alcoholic rams are available. (KIDDING!) EDIT: not kidding on anything.

10. See pinned post comments from this group for driving directions. See also "Files" tab for course maps ON AMMON RANCH FB GROUP!
