For a long time, Iāve wanted to try different classes and visit studios across the country. I finally decided to take action, so from now on, every weekend Iāll be trying a new class.
Today was my second CorePower Hot Fusion session. My first class was in summer at the Clarendon location, the room was hot and everyone seemed completely locked in. Today in Ballston, on a winter day, the room felt comfortably warm and everyone relaxed.
The class offered a solid mix of balance, stretching, and some core work. As someone who lifts and trains a lot, I wouldāve loved the room to be a bit hotter and the stretching portion to be longer, but itās definitely a great class for relaxing both the mind and body. š§
I couldnāt help but think how amazing it would be to do a hot yoga class in an infrared light, or even better, a salt room. If you know of any places please let me know.

Itās been a while since I posted a workout, but I wanted to share something related to progress.
I finally got to lift today, my first weightlifting workout this week. Midway through the workout, out of breath, I thought about how the fitness industry makes progress seem so complicated, when in reality itās simple.
If you show up and push yourself a little more in each workout, thatās progress. And in my opinion, thatās the best kind of progress, because it brings you close to an uncomfortable threshold of pain that not many people are willing to reach.
As I was pushing myself through a couple of exercises, I thought: this pain doesnāt even come close to the pain of facing lifeās challenges, like the loss of a parent, or the diagnosis of a loved one etc.
If going to the gym or going for a run feels difficult, think about the challenges youāve already been through. I bet the pain of training wonāt even compare.

My last run in Moldova for a couple of months. š
I cannot describe how great it is to run alone on these trails, no cars, bikes or people just my footsteps and the occasional deer, fox or pheasant.
