Losin' Lures

Got out on the lake some this past week. I don't fish too deep and fish are just not biting now in the shallows and mid depths. Dog days of summer are here for guys like me. Have been for about 3 weeks

Only caught 2 today. The pattern just wasn't hitting as well today.

Went out on Wednesday and Thursday May 25 and 26. Caught 12+ fish those 2 days off of emergent vegetation near the bank of Cedar Hill park Soth of the South Boat ramp. Used mostly top water lute, but also some Warpig and shallow divers too. Sorry I deleted all the pics accidentally, but they were all mostly less than a pound, JP keepers and tourny winners, but small. Had 2 or 3 over a pound a 1-4, 1-5 and a 1-14. Those small ones are more fun as they fight harder than a big one most times. And topwater strikes are the coolest looking. Still searching for my next 5 plus. Stay tuned and thanks for following.

Went out this past Monday the 12th of May and caught this 5-5 in a new spot out on the Ole Pool. Caught some other d***s as well, but on Pool d***s are the keepers with the slot. It's what wins the tournys on Wednesday. Caught a nice healthy 1-12 that was a slot fish. Those are good fights, and good fun. Get out if you can. That was the last cool day until October probably.

Well the Ole Basstoord got out on the Pool yesterday and bag another decent one, a 6 Pounder. Caught 7 fish in total. Rest were small tourny size fish, 2 crappie and a white bass.

Have not been able to get out much this March and April unfortunately. Been windy or raining when I had a chance to go. Hope to go late this week and catch another good one. Stayed tuned lure losers.

Got out on the ole' Pool today. It was quite warm when sitting still, but a bit cool when moving. Water temp varied from 55 to 63 degrees but I couldn't get anything to bite besides trying several spots and lures. I don't fish deep so they are still out deep or they just didn't see my stuff cuz the lake is still cloudy as all hell with all the wind and rain runoff going through it right now. Oh well better luck next time. Until then, " This Basstoord is off the water"!

I, The Basstoord, nabbed another decent one today. In a cove, near some trees. Cedar Hill side, on the West side of that wing of the lake.
4 fish total the big 6-6 and then 3 half pound keepers. Although as you'll see in the 2nd vidja from today, that I don't keep 'em. See ya next time Losin' Lure Likers.
