Maverick Badminton Club

For anyone who is interested in participating in the Badminton Sooner Open. The deadline for group registration is this Friday, March, 28th and for singles registrations is this Sunday, March 30th.

The Maverick Badminton Club has become inactive due to the inadequate number of officers needed to maintain the club. A huge thank you to old and interested members alike, we hope that you continue to play badminton & will continue to love the sport as much as we do.

We will continue to post anything Badminton related going on in campus on this page & we're sorry for any inconveniences.

Good luck with finals everyone! We hope it was an AMAZING semester. Finish strong and "May the odds be ever in your favor".

The LAST day of practice for this semester will be this Wednesday, 4/24. We will be handing out gift cards to all members who have helped volunteer as a thank you on that day. The amount on the gift cards will correspond to the number of times you volunteered.

Congratulations to Yong Weng for getting the Most Dedicated member award. He will be receiving a $15 gift card. Thank you for your dedication!

There is no badminton practice this week

The ranking today for Varsity and JV Tryout will be rank as team for all doubles division (Men's doubles, Mixed doubles, and Woman's doubles), each team will received certain number of points for each game that will be tallied. Singles have the same set up with each person holding their own points. More info on this at the tryout, see you then!
The location is MAC Room 135 back courts

REMINDER: Ranking will take place, next Friday ( 3/1 ) in order to form the club's varsity and junior varsity team. You need to have paid your membership due in order to be able to be in the team and play in the competition against the University of Texas at Dallas (UTD)!

VOLUNTEER: Our next volunteer event will be March 2nd from 5:45-8pm in the College Park Center at the basketball game against Utah State. We need ten(10) people from the club to come help out, so if you are willing to come then please message us as soon as possible. Thank you!

The basketball fundraising game will be at the college park center, anyone that are helping with this fundraiser please meet me at the West Side Entrance which should be on the right side if you're looking at the main entrance. Contact Hung at 682-583-2650 text or call. Please wear your badminton club T-shirt! See you then!

DUES for this semester must be turned in by the end of this month, those who pay after January 31st will have to pay $10 instead of the customary $7!

Officer elections for next school year is now open! Voting & placing your ballot will be done on mavorgs.uta.edu! Voting will end on February 22nd ( Friday ) so cast your ballot now!

The Spring semester is finally here! Badminton Practice will resume as normal starting Wednesday ( January 16th ) . See you guys there!

Quick reminder: Our first volunteer event will be this Saturday, January 5th, from 5:45-8pm at the College Park Center. We will be handing our flyers during the basketball game vs. Louisiana Tech. We need at least 5 volunteers, if you're interested please message us & more details will then be given. Thank you!
