Man, I’m so proud of this guy.
has been one of the hardest and resilient workers I’ve known. A day we talked about for years was this one. His MLB Debut.
I met Zach in 2021 when he was promoted to AA-Pensacola and we followed each other on IG before that. He invited us out to one of his first AA starts and chatted after the game.
From there we’ve had deep conversations about baseball and even life. I’m blessed to call him a friend & now a BIG LEAGUER.
He’s so deserving and can’t wait to see what’s in store for him! What a night for Zach and his family!
➡️ Slide 2 my daughter (10 months at the time) was scared of the guys playing catch, okay! 😂
➡️ Slide 11 he’s rocking the OG PO x CNP collab shirt sleeve hoodie 🔥

Still searching for win #100…

Chase Burns has been putting on a show this season!
➡️ He’s 7-1 with a 1.96 ERA ➡️ 72 strikeouts in 64.1 innings ➡️ 0.96 WHIP
His fastball touching triple digits and that devastating slider are the keys! You can see in the overlay how long those two stay on plane!
I love how he used that slider miss to his advantage as he dotted a 2 strike fastball at a billion inside directly after.
The heat maps tell a similar story of him leveraging his high IVB fastball up and then throwing that slider gloveside and down. Picture perfect.
How do the metrics look?
Fastball:
🔥 98.1
🔥 2571 spin rate
🔥 18.7” IVB & 3.9” HB (high arm slot will create less run with the 4S)
🔥 91% efficiency at 12:30 spin direction
Slider:
🔥 90.9
🔥 2728 spin rate
🔥 0.7” IVB & 2.7” HB (Gyro slide piece)
🔥 19% efficiency at 10:15 (observed at 8:45) spin direction
Absolutely disgusting!
That’s why his BAA vs the fastball is .191 and the slider is .137 👀
making a case for himself to be considered one of the best young arms in baseball! Keep rolling brother!

Another deGrom Day!
A few rough outings for Jake where his location has been off and balls have been up and over the heart of the zone.
Something we aren’t accustomed to seeing from him.
What kind of adjustments to you expect to see tonight?
😳

I’ve been posting Trevor Richards’ changeup since I started this page & he’s still chucking them for some ugly swings!
The numbers may not be where he wants them but the movement is nasty!
A shape that has changed from a more fading changeup to one that tumbles hard!
For example back when I started this page he was throwing them at 83.4 mph with 8.4” of IVB and 15.5” of run (2:00 spin).
Now he’s 79.9 mph -1.2” of IVB and 11.3” of run (3:00 spin).
So he’s created more side spin with the same exact arm slot he had in ‘18 & ‘19 when I started CNP.
You can even see the forced pronation 👀
Smaller sample sizes of the changeup over the last few seasons don’t show how lethal this has been over his career.
Just in 2024 he was allowing a .148 BAA with 32.3% whiff.
Check out the last slide! One of the first videos I posted of him showing how he throws it!
