He does yoga and lifts weights regularly, yet every time he does Pilates with me, he’s amazed at how sore he is. Pilates works the body from the inside out, targeting those deep intrinsic muscles. As Joseph Pilates said, “ When all your muscles are properly developed, you will, as a matter of course, perform your work with minimum effort and maximum pleasure.”

Tonight the Rossiter coach became the patient…

Yesterday morning, while getting out of my car, I was suddenly hit with back spasms. I did some stretching, which eased some of the pain, but it would come roaring back.

Today it was mildly better, but I was still having a lot of stiffness and discomfort. So I enlisted my husband to be my coach and assist me in stretching. No, he hasn’t had the training, but I have. I knew where to have him place his foot, I had him transfer weight on to the right spot, then I did the exercises. After a thorough session, my back and hips feel much looser and open, and the pain is all but gone.

Rossiter works! Got pain? Let’s give Rossiter Stretching a try!

A new Rossiter client, who is only 22, came in today asking for work to relieve her hip and back pain. We did an intense 30 minutes of stretches. When she stood up after the session she exclaimed “I haven’t felt this limber in years!”.

Don’t keep living with pain. Schedule a Rossiter Stretching session and regain your mobility.

Start them young! One of my clients brought her 8 year old granddaughter to class today. It wasn’t really her first time on a reformer, as I trained her mother when she was pregnant with her. Pilates is a family affair!

It’s spring break around here, and one of the moms brought her teenage son to class with her today. He actually likes doing Pilates and understands how good he feels afterwards. If you’ve got teens, this is a great workout for their growing bodies.
