The Pirates took the lead in the sixth inning, The Pirates took the lead in the sixth inning tuesday at Barcroft Park Field #1 when the game was suspended for time constraints with the Nationals due to hit in the bottom of the sixth inning.

Isaiah Satch Mefford racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Arlington American LL Majors Nationals. He singled in the first inning and doubled in the fourth inning. Alec Duke Ellison struck out 11 batters in 4 1/3 innings.

The Nats committed nine errors as they lost 15-2 to the Braves. Eli 'Rev' Posner drove in a run and Isaiah 'Satch' Mefford went 2 for 2 leading the Nats offense. Pitchers Ryan 'Brain' Berry (1ER 6SO), Alex 'Smoke' Reed (1ER, 4SO), and Mark 'Sparky' Fogelson (1ER, 5SO) had good outings giving up just 3 earned runs out of the Braves 15 runs.

The Nationals held on to defeat the defending American League champion Orioles 5-4 in the season opener. Alec 'Duke' Ellison pitched 5 innings and struck out 12 batters to earn the win. Isaiah 'Satch' Mefford smashed a two run double and came in to pitch the final inning to earn the save and seal the Nats victory. The Nats will enjoy Arlington Little League's Opening Ceremonies tomorrow and participate in the opening Challengers game sporting all smiles knowing the season is off to a great start.

Opening Day for Arlington Little League and our Majors Nationals. Alec 'Duke' Ellison will head to the mound as opening day starter. Game time is 1:00pm at Barcroft Park come on out and show your NATITUDE!!!!
