We'd like to think that our 22+ years of introducing Arlington elementary school kids to the swim-bike-run multisport lifestyle has contributed something to this great community accomplishment.

We could learn a few things in the US from our Norwegian friends about teaching our youth the “Joy of Sport.” Participation trophies have their appropriate place for young athletes.

At this year's Arlington Triathlon in Memory of Anne Viviani, we were honored to have Bob Kovacs and his wife, Mary Ellen Dawley, videotaping at our event. They are renowned for their videos that help promote local organizations. Bob and Mary Ellen recently were honored by the Points of Light organizaton. Founded by former president George H. W. Bush, it is the world's largest organization devoted to public service. Congratulations!

Volunteers are needed for packet pickup and race set-up and tear-down (NO HEAVY LIFTING INVOLVED). If you have not yet signed up to volunteer, please choose one of these positions to help us stage this great kids event! The Arlington Triathlon Club is a small, parent-run volunteer group. Our race will be a success with your help!

All athletes registered were sent the 2026 Arlington Triathlon Athlete Guide. Late registrants this week will receive it by 6/4. Packet pickup is 2-5 pm Saturday 6/6 at Trek Arlington Clarendon opposite the Whole Foods on Wilson Blvd
