Thank you to our first responders. Proud to be part of the First Responders Cup - Arlington, Virginia - Every September again this year.
In honor of the 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance, is proud to continue its support of the First Responders Cup - Arlington, Virginia - Every September Fast Pitch Softball Tournament today! This tournament was co-founded by our own Rich Roberts and celebrates the heroism of The Arlington County Police Department and the Arlington Fire Department who were the first to arrive at the Pentagon on September 11, 2001. For 18 years, this girls fast pitch tournament has brought together 24 teams and more than 400 participants from areas directly affected by the attacks.

It took our Shooting Stars team 7 tries but we finally won our favorite tournament in 2018. Good luck to everyone playing tomorrow!

First Responders Cup Tournament
Registration for the 2022 Tournament in full swing with 16 registered teams to date. Hosted this year with the help of the Marymount University Softball Team, we are excited that the players will have the opportunity to interact with some of the players and coaches at the collegiate level during team breaks in play and through some planned events during tournament weekend. Register now through the below link. Tournament weekend is September 10th through 11th at the Fields in Barcroft in Arlington, VA.
First Responders Cup Tournament Provides for competitive fastpitch girls softball tournament. All net proceeds after equipment, balls, and umpires is donated to First Responder Charities.

The 2021 Championship Decided.
Twenty teams participated in the 20th First Responders Cup Tournament this year. We purposedly limited the field to 20 teams in respect for the COVID threat. All games were played at the Barcroft Sports Complex on September 11th and September 12th.
The Champions were the Maryland InteGRITy at the 12 and Under Division, the VA Glory Norton at the 14 and Under and the Arlington Impact National-Kauffman at the 18 and Under.
Our Congratulations to all the Champions and all who came to the tournament this year.
We are particularly grateful to the Marymount University Softball team and their coaches who ran the press boxes, kept score and organized our participants. THANK YOU! Without your support we could not have run the tournament.

All seedings will be distributed as soon as all games are completed which will be after 9 pm Saturday.
A further clarification. Per a Coach's question this evening.
We have No Artificial TURF fields, ONLY natural grass for some fields.
If you are slated to play on Fields 1 and 2 they have grass infields, Fields 3 and 4 have dirt infields. Field of play is based on availability.
We will NOT entertain requests for particular fields.

First Responders Cup Annual Girls Fast Pitch Softball Tournament
On September 11th, 2002, the Inaugural First Responders Cup Tournament was held to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and to celebrate the heroism of the Arlington Fire and Police who were the first at the Pentagon. All net proceeds raised from the tournament are donated to Pentagon Disaster Relief charities. Each year on the weekend around the anniversary of September 11th, the First Responders Cup Tournament Committee, an IRS designated Disaster Assistance Organization, hosts a Girls Fast Pitch Tournament bringing together the very best teams from those area directly affected by the attacks of September 11th. The purpose of this web site is to communicate information related this tournament. The winning teams from each age division have their team names inscribed on the First Responders Cup, which is then return for display in Fire Station 5, home of the first team of responders to answer the call that day. Arlington County proudly honors the response of their First Responders each September 11th with the playing of this tournament. As the Fire Chief Edward Plaugher said at the inaugural tournament, "What better way to 'celebrate' the response of our First Responders then through a tournament of the very best girls fastpitch teams from those areas directly affected by the events of September 11th."
