Under the guidance of Profesor Canchan and Contra- Mestre Javali, we practice an Afro-Brazilian martial art called Capoeira in the DC metro area. Capoeira is an energetic, upbeat physical activity that is great for the body and mind. Capoeira is a unique martial art that focuses on flowing movements, kicks, dodges, rhythm and music. In addition to building strength and flexibility, you will learn
about Brazilian culture, history, and language! Classes are held weekly at Sculp'd (1103 Queen Street, Alexandria, VA 22314).
