University Scuba International

To all University SCUBA international students, please note… we have lost a great teacher/instructor, a friend, and too many of us are best friend.

Some lives leave a mark so deep it becomes part of the people who loved them.
David was one of those lives.

In his final days, the world seemed to rearrange itself around him — friends arriving just in time, moments aligning with a kind of grace that only makes sense in hindsight. Even as his body grew tired, his spirit stayed unmistakably him: stubborn, warm, funny, present, and full of heart.

On Sunday evening, around 9:30, David slipped away peacefully, without pain, surrounded by the people who loved him most. It was gentle. It was quiet. It was love holding him all the way through.

David will be remembered as a fun‑loving, head strong, big‑hearted soul who spent his life helping others feel better — in their bodies, in their spirits, in their days. He showed up for people. He made them laugh. He made them feel seen. And he carried a light that will keep shining in every life he touched.

This is the part where love becomes memory, and memory becomes something we carry forward.
And even in the heartbreak, there is beauty in how everything aligned — the timing, the support, the clarity, the love.

May his legacy be the warmth he left behind.
May his story continue in the people who loved him.
And may his light stay with us, forever.

Well, everything is picked up and cleaned up ready to close the door

Today is a sad day after many many years University SCUBA has decided to resign and close down. This page will still be open for people who want to communicate and share photos and information. If you want to say something, a lot of the OG’s are still here Chaz is here! David Ben are here as well
For the newer students! it’s been a pleasure teaching. Everybody we have all made good friends and we could not have enjoyed life the same without University SCUBA international! Thanks to everyone that was involved at any point in time Jimmy Evan, Jim, Glenn Cody, and so many more!

Apologies for the late posting, but a couple of us are going diving at Wheeler branch park in Glen rose. If you care to join us we will be there till I’m guessing maybe noon 1 o’clock I know your late notice but we will be doing some on diving and I will try to make announcements here.

University scuba is going thru a reboot to get too going again! We have joined with a dive club started on campus!

Any and all divers… looking to advance and learn more beyond your open water certification? Time is now water is warm and summer is coming. University scuba international is doing a summer program for anyone interested in this we will take you from open water to master diver. Rescue diver will also be Available this summer is the time to hone your skills and experience to the next level. David Shaw, Benjamin Mayorga, Cody Maniord will be out to help all those that are interested. If you have not experienced top level training and Instuction from any USI program come check us out it will truly change your diving knowledge and make you feel more proficient in almost every aspect of scuba diving!
