The first of the Five Codes of Tang Soo Do: Loyalty to Country. 🇺🇸🇰🇷

The codes come from the Hwarang, young Korean warriors who over 1,400 years ago pledged loyalty to their homeland before anything else. Today, our students carry that same spirit — showing up for their families, their schools, and their community.
Every class starts with a bow to the flags. Every class ends with a reminder of who we serve.

Growth is not loud. It is consistent.

It shows up in every class you didn’t skip, every technique you refined, every moment you chose discipline over comfort.

Keep going. The mat doesn’t lie. 🥋

The only rep that doesn’t count is the one you didn’t do. 🥋

Show up. Do the work. Trust the process.

If it was all just kicking & punching we'd be just another activity center.

Something special happens when someone walks through our doors for the first time.

They don't know it yet — but everything is about to change. The confidence. The discipline. The community waiting on the other side of that first step.

Welcome to our newest Cornerstone students. We don't take lightly the trust you placed in us when you chose this school. We are honored to be part of your journey and we will show up for you every single class.

The mat is yours now. Let's get to work. 🥋

Buddy Day Wednesday was one for the books. 🥋

Student and instructor demos that had the whole room locked in, some seriously fun moments, and new faces stepping on the mat for the very first time.

To everyone who demonstrated — you set the tone. To every buddy who showed up — we hope you felt the love. Come make it permanent.

See you at the next one. 🙌

Staff work. ✨

There is something about training with a staff that shifts everything. The reach. The flow. The way every movement has to be intentional or the weapon tells on you immediately.

Working with a staff demands presence. Coordination. A level of body awareness that sharpens everything else in your training. It is one of those techniques that humbles you fast and rewards you even faster when it clicks.

At Cornerstone we love a weapon that teaches as much as it trains. 🔥
