The Chief Instructor,Jim Sorrentino, holds a 5th-degree black belt in aikido. He began his martial training in Uechi-ryu Karate-do under Robert Galeone in 1977, and holds a 3rd degree black belt in that art as well. Sorrentino began his study of aikido in 1984 under Mitsugi Saotome-sensei. Saotome-sensei was a disciple of O-Sensei for 15 years, and has trained in aikido since 1954. Sorrentino cont

Hello Aikidoka Parents: I hope you are having a wonderful thanksgiving weekend.
I'm a little stunned that December is already here! Thank you to all of you parents and assistant instructors that make the time to come together for our classes.
December 18th will be the last class of the fall session and we are planning a fun event to close out the year. We will start indoors and weather permitting we will move outside.
Please note that our Kids Aikido Winter Session is open for registration!
Our Winter Session is January 13 - April 9
Looking forward to closing out 2024 with you all and to furthering our study of Aikido in 2025.
