Debra Lavake Cobb and I are grateful for the opportunity to join the graduates and their families at this year's Oakridge School graduation ceremony.
I couldn't help but be feel a wave of nostalgia enjoying a place I spent 20 years as a faculty member and parent.
So many many cherished colleagues, friends and students that we have missed seeing more regularly. Yet, amidst the familiarity and memories, there's an undeniable sense of newness in the air—an excitement for the boundless potential of the Class of 2024.
As I listened to the commencement speeches, I couldn't help but be struck by the collective determination of these graduates to shape the future with courage and conviction. Theirs is a generation poised to embrace change, to challenge the status quo, and to forge new paths where others see obstacles.
Reflecting on this juncture between past and future, I'm reminded to always “Honoring the past, while imagining infinite possibilities for the future." I deeply believe in the power of tradition and innovation, of paying homage to our roots while reaching towards the stars. 🚀
As we cheer on the Class of 2024, let us not only celebrate their achievements but also nurture their dreams. For within each of us lies the potential to make a difference, to leave an indelible mark on the world.
Congratulations to The Oakridge School Class of 2024! Here's to the future—a future filled with endless possibilities and infinite promise. 🌟
