For horse archery this year we are doing things differently for the beginner clinic. There will only be one three day beginner clinic here taught by me, but there are prerequisite one day clinics.

May 24 Ground Archery for Horse Archery 10am-1pm
May 31 Riding for Horse Archery 10am-1pm
June 26-28 Beginner Horse Archery Clinic Fri-Sun: 10am-5pm

We are breaking things down to give people an even better understanding of the foundations for horse archery. You have to attend the one day clinics, or have private lessons in each, before attending the three day intensive camp.

Let me know if you are interested in signing up! I have individual registrations for each camp. You do not have to register for the three day clinic to do the one day clinics. Anyone can sign up for the one day clinics. There are event pages for each clinic on this page, with information like cost, etc.

Beautiful day for club practice yesterday!

We learned some fun demonstration activities this summer while we were in Hungary, and are looking for an event or barn to practice/have a demonstration at! Parking is limited at our ranch, and with the WA Horse expo not in business anymore, we haven't done a group demonstration for a few years. Let us know if you have any ideas on where we could do a fun demonstration of archery, horsemanship, and horse archery!

We had a fantastic July practice with 18 people and 13 horses! Thank you all who came. Let's go Broken Arrow Mounted Archers! This week we will have 6 days of training and competition.

Our week of training and competitions is off to a great start! Today was day three of training. The next three days will be competitions followed by more training.

Club Practice! Our largest one this year, with 22 archers and 13 equines (12 horses and 1 muke) on the track. Club Practice is for anyone who has trained here, learned the basics, and wants to continue training in a group setting. We also have Academy Practices for people who want to take horse archery to a higher level, which are held separately from Open Club Practices. This year is off to a great start and I'm super proud of our horses and people!

We lucked out and got in some good practice before the rain hit today!

We lucked out with good weather for our club practice today! Stretching circle, drum drills, warm up shooting, first exam, and a few other archery movement drills. Then we got horses out and people took turns lunging each other ba****ck riding and shooting. We also had a baby horse in training join the fun :)

Thank you once again Bill Edgar for some amazing photos of our last Club Practice! We made this practice an extra special one for some end of the season fun. We set up different movement drills, knock down game, rolling targets, and aerial targets. Then we got horses out and played with ropes, flags, balls, etc. Even got people used to doing some close range aerials on horseback! Here are some of the archery photos, I will do a separate post for the horse photos.
