Join me through my success & struggles as I lunge through life. I've had several friends tell me they miss seeing my work out photos. Here's that & more!

This came up in my news feed today. It made me stop, think, and appreciate. I am on a journey to reach my destination. One step at a time and I can eventually reach my destination.

After about a week off of my hard core working out (still got lots of walking in), I was finally able to get a nice solid workout in. This was despite the crazy humidity we had due to storms all around us, but somehow not on us!

I'm back! After being in Chicago for a week to reflect upon the 90 years of life my Nana lived, I participated in my first workout in a week. I brought workout clothes with me on my trip, but spent a lot of time with family.
I could think negatively- that I failed myself, provided setbacks in my journey, made poor choices while there. However, I got back out there today, sweated my butt off, and enjoyed seeing some of my workout buddies that I hadn't seen in a week.

It's so exciting to meet a milestone! In 7 four week sessions I managed to check in to 100 workouts, and did workouts at home on some of the days that I couldn't make it to CG. outdoor fitness paired with my and has really got me motivated and going in the right direction! I'm now about 25 pounds down!! If you want to learn more about either program, please let me know!

It's nice when you make friends at workouts whom you look forward to working out with! It's nice to have people to help hold you accountable!

It is a wonderful thing when your workout can overlap with a great cause! This Saturday I was able to do a 5k after raising money for Cystic Fibrosis and my buddy, Bennett.

I ate pizza today for lunch.
But then I got two full hours of work out in too.
I say I won! :)
One thing I am struggling with is eating while at work. I get busy helping a student and before I know it I am really hungry and it's past the time I had planned to have eaten-whether that be lunch or a snack. Sometimes it takes me an hour to finish a shakeology shake, because I start off thinking I want to enjoy it and don't want to down it, but then I get involved in something and there's still half of it left.
Making time to eat at work is something I have been working on for a couple months-trying to find snacks that are easily accessible, that i don't have to refrigerate, that I can eat while I am talking with someone else. But still now, as the school year comes to an end, I struggle to find a way to make sure I think of myself first and make sure I take time to get my food out and take a bite.
Do any of you struggle to find that balance between doing your job well and taking care of yourself? What are some things you are working on to create that balance? Do you have any snack/food ideas that have helped you in a similar situation?
Please share!
Do any of you look in the mirror and see the things that you dislike about yourself? I notice that I do that often. My arms are too flubby, my stomach bulges out, my chin has a pimple, my hips are too wide. Negative thoughts don't help us at all. Tomorrow morning when I wake up, I am going to look for something in the mirror that I like about myself. I challenge you to do the same. Share in the comments below something that you see in the mirror that you like about you.
