Stunning the work technology can do!
The Herculaneum papyri are more than 1800 papyri that were carbonized by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius (79 CE), constituting the only surviving library from antiquity that exists in its entirety. Now using new x-ray technique, these scrolls are being read for the first time in millennia

One of two known surviving tea chests from the December 16, 1773, Boston Tea Party when 340 tea chests were dumped into Boston Harbor by rebelling colonists. Wonder how much it would bring on eBay? 😂

From a collection in Kuwait.
17th century Emerald cup made of 252 carats of pure emerald with Persian verses inscribed on it. It belonged to Emperor Jehangir of Mughal India. would only offer $20 bucks tho.

Great design doesn’t have to cost a fortune. This 1970’s Wittnauer is a fully mechanical automatic winder with day date. The two tone dial is just stunning and the color scheme really pops. Nice examples still exist and don’t have to strain the wallet. Originality is key, and this piece really shines as a no excuses collectible.

We’re going to kick off this IG account with a little word about me and a recent victory I had.
This is me at 12 years old, Christmas 1988. My first guitar. I was super excited to get this under the tree. I was gonna be a rock ⭐️, I could not wait to play. But I had no training, no skill. So needless to say when I tried to play it, music did not come out. I was small, guitar was big. As a kid I let the excuses set in and I never learned a single chord. Eventually I sold the guitar. Skip ahead 12 years my Dad got involved with a band, the guitar player offered to teach me. I got a cheap guitar and practiced everything he told me. Mentorship really impacted my attitude, but it was my attitude that made the difference. I was able to make music! Ever since then I’ve been searching for a replacement for that first guitar, and here we are a legit 78 Japanese Epiphone ET-290N Creatwood in triple blonde! After all these years super stoked to have this in the collection. Sounds fantastic and plays like butter thanks to setup and repairs by This one is a keeper!
