🏊‍♀️ Elite Swimmer of the Month: Jocelynn Garcia 🏊‍♀️
Congratulations to Jocelynn Garcia, our Elite Swimmer of the Month! Jocelynn competes in the 200 Free, 500 Free, and 200 IM and has had an incredible season. She holds school records in the 100 Fly, 200 Free, 200 IM, and 500 Free, has earned A times in the 50 Free and 100 Free, and qualified for State in the 200 Free.
Jocelynn is the ideal swimmer for a coach. She has near-perfect attendance and never says “I can’t”, she always says “I’ll try.” She is humble in her successes and graceful when things don’t go as planned. Jocelynn has learned one of the most important lessons in swimming: being comfortable being uncomfortable. Her attitude, work ethic, and leadership make her a joy to coach every single day.
Outside the pool, Jocelynn is also a talented viola player and was named her high school’s January Athlete of the Month. We are so proud of all her hard work and accomplishments in and out of the water! 👏💙

🏊‍♀️ Challenger Swimmer of the Month: Valerie 🏊‍♀️
Congratulations to Valerie, our Challenger Swimmer of the Month! Valerie’s top events are the 200 IM, 100 Free, and 50 Back with personal records of 3:12.28 (200 IM), 1:17.19 (100 Free), and 40.79 (50 Back).
Valerie consistently pushes herself during practice and is always there supporting her teammates. She is not afraid of hard work and continues to show tremendous progress in the water. Her dedication and positive attitude inspire those around her to keep improving and be great athletes. We are excited to watch her continue to grow in the sport! 👏💙

🏊‍♂️ Discovery Swimmer of the Month: Ashton Gilmore 🏊‍♂️
Ashton has shown amazing progress with his technique across all four strokes and has some great starts off the block! His favorite events are freestyle and breaststroke, and he currently holds times of 48.41 in the 50 Free and 1:01.04 in the 50 Back. Ashton comes to practice every day with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic, and he continues to improve each week. He has become a great leader in our Discovery group, and we are so proud of his growth! 👏💙

🏊‍♂️ Pre-Comp Swimmer of the Month: Gabriel Maldonado 🏊‍♂️
Congratulations to Gabriel Maldonado, our Pre-Comp Swimmer of the Month! Gabriel began swimming at just three years old and continues to show great passion and dedication for the sport.
Outside of the pool, Gabriel also excels academically. He has been recognized as Student of the Week, Month, and Year multiple times and has earned awards in both science and mathematics. Gabriel is a sweet, kind hearted young man, and we are so proud of all the hard work he puts in both in and out of the water! 👏💙
