Before making decision to rerun to jog, we look at range of motion, quad and hams strength needs to be > 60 % compared to other side, hop test and minimal pain with dynamic movements < 3/10 pain.

Our patient came with hip issues-he is an endurance runner - he surpassed his PR last race following his rehab and is running half marathon this weekend in Alexandria, Va. we are excited for him and we wish him all the best !!
Post 2. Hamstring rehab of an Elite National Level Athlete. She is a Hurdler State Champion. Focusing on isometrics and eccentrics hamstring exercises in a pain free range. 1. Walking bridging 2. Isometrics bridging on a ball 3. Ball pull on a bridging position 4. RDL isometrics 5. Single leg RDL isometrics.
We are excited to work with hurdler and sprinter State champion with her rehab. She is a national level athlete. Here we are assessing her hamstring issues and follow up with dry needling treatment to improve muscle spasms and trigger point. Then, Follow up with isometrics and eccentrics Hams focus exercise.

***ANTERIOR KNEE PAIN POST ACL***
We commonly see patients post ACL reconstruction with pain in the front of the knee. ESPECIALLY with patellar tendon grafts. Rather than consider it an unavoidable consequence of surgery, we feel like this is something that can be managed with the right approach.
1. Scar massage and desensitization
2. Gradual, graded introduction of kneeling type activities
3. Regaining FULL knee flexion in all body positions
4. Appropriate loading of the patellar tendon. Post knee surgery, the body finds lots of ways to AVOID loading the knee. If we don’t load it, it won’t just get stronger by resting.
