🔦Spotlight on Showcase🔦 this week features a very fun high energy pom street jazz routine choreographed by Coach Brittany. The girls got to work on this one for a while with minimal court performance time, so they were so excited to get to show this one off to the crowd!!✨

🔦Spotlight on Showcase🔦 this week features a bit of an unconventional routine from our season. Annually, MU dance performs a fun Christmas routine prior to winter break, and it always becomes a team favorite to keep alive for showcase season! Extra kudos to the main roles played by Captain Ire and rookie Isabelle!🎄🎅🏼☃️ This was a fun one to create and watch come to life!!!

🔦Spotlight on Showcase🔦 this week is featuring our rookie Isabelle’s beautifully crafted piece titled “The Story”. Isabelle self choreographed this lyrical and dedicated it to her father, who luckily got to be in the audience for this show!💙✨ Breathtaking as always, great job to Isabelle!

Meet Head Coach Lana! ✨🪩

She is a marymount university dance team alum! She was on the team from 2016-2020 serving as captain her junior and senior year. She is now heading into her 6th year as head coach, excited for the season ahead!

She has been dancing for 25+ years, training competitively since the age of 2 with Chez Dance Company in South Jersey, leading up to college. She currently still dances with Ava Dance Company, training in pom, hip hop, street jazz, jazz & contemporary!

Outside of the dance program, she is a clinical mental health therapist where she treats & supporte kids, teens, & young adults. She loves to blend these two roles and strive to be not only the best coach she can be, but a supportive mentor as each dancer navigates their journey at marymount / in life.

Coach Lana is looking forward to the upcoming season and cannot wait to continue elevating this wonderful team! 🤍💙⚜️
