“Shannon Fornes grew up training in dance and gymnastics in San Diego, California. They received a Bachelor’s degree in Dance and Psychology from Mount Holyoke College where they performed in pieces by Barbie Diewald, Erin Kouwe, and Chavi Bansal as well as many works by student choreographers. Shannon’s research centers the intersection of acrobatics and dance, specifically, focusing on integrating tricks with contemporary and jazz movement vocabularies.”
