New things at Bird's Nest for 2020. The Arvada Parks will be mowing the course and will start this Thursday Morning. Please be careful to not throw near the mowers as they are new at this and may not know where discs are coming from or going to. Kudos to Arvada Parks and crew!!
Just got an official call from the city of Arvada about disc golf play at Bird's Nest Disc Park and Johnny Roberts Disc Golf Course at Memorial Park. Until further notice all special event permits have been canceled and no club events are permitted this includes Tags, Doubles, Leagues, Glow Rounds or other organized activities at either disc golf facility. Please be respectful of this policy and let's help the city in their efforts to keep us safe. Individual play will still be allowed be safe out there and see you soon from six feet away

Hey! everyone, tag matches tomorrrow and I will have some tournament fundraiser discs at Bird's Nest to clear out some space. All $20 Glow Shrykes, KC rocks, PD2, MD3, Flat top gators, Metal Flake Tbirds and the list goes on I will be there from 2:30- 6:00 pm.

NEED YOUR SUPPORT!
As some of you already know I am working with South Suburban Parks and Recreation District and Highlands Ranch Metro District for a proposal to replace/relocate the existing disc golf course at the David Lorenz Park site. I have been asked to help with gathering letters of support from local players as well as Disc golf Clubs and disc golf players from outside the area that would come play the course when visiting the Denver Metro area. We have already identified that this area is under served by disc golf courses so we want to provide the best disc golf course we can given the need and available land for a disc golf course. The more support we get from the disc golf community the more support we can get back from the local entities for this need in disc golf facilities.

Nick and I have been working on some sites for many years and now we are very close to getting this vision pushed forward. Nick needs these emails of support to show the HRMD board that there is a need and support for another course in the 470 south Metro area. At this point the site(s)
are not a given and we need your support to make this happen.
As always, I appreciate everyone’s support and participation with this. Please share this with other disc golf supporters.

If you have lost a disc(s) at Bird's Nest I will have what has been turned in at the Winter Fling this Saturday. Those with names on them Must Have Photo ID. those without names will be sold for course fund. Also realize that many L&F discs where stolen when we had the breakin
