At the 1st stage of Virginia 2026, SHC BJJ/Sparks Martial Arts showed up in a big way! 💥

We had a massive turnout and came home with strong results: 🥇 1 gold, 🥈 8 silvers, and 🥉 5 bronzes!

But beyond the medals, we brought something even more meaningful to the mats—unity across generations. For the first time, we had competitors as young as 5 years old all the way to athletes over 50, proving that the Jiu-Jitsu we build is truly for everyone.

Proud is an understatement. We keep growing, together, on and off the mats. Oss! 🥋🔥

What a truly special day for Sparks Martial Arts! This time, we held our promotion at Fitwize — the place where it all began for us. Returning to our roots made the event even more meaningful and unforgettable. 🥋✨

🏆🔥 The SHC BJJ / Sparks Martial Arts team showed up strong at the Virginia Fall 2025, held in Annandale, VA at the beginning of September — competing with 9 athletes and bringing home 2 GOLD, 5 SILVER, and 2 BRONZE medals! 💪🥋

👊✨ Today is a day of celebration at Sparks Martial Arts!

Our student Shonu Sengupta has walked an incredible path: he started training Jiu-Jitsu with us as a teenager, grew up on the mats, and today continues his journey as a man of value. We had the honor of promoting him to blue belt – a milestone of dedication, discipline, and growth. 🥋💙

Now he’s heading off to new challenges in College, but he carries with him the spirit of Jiu-Jitsu and the certainty that he will always have a home here at Sparks. 💪🔥

We wish him the best of luck in this new chapter and look forward to hearing great news about his progress, both on and off the mats! 🚀
