Did you know that majority of people don’t achieve their goals? Research shows that people just don’t follow through. Therefore, if you started settings goals for the next quarter, or the next year-chances are, you’re already falling short on your expectations.
Guess what? It’s not you. This is brain science. Let’s think about this for a minute. It isn’t because you didn’t try hard enough, or because you set “unrealistic goals”, or even because you didn’t set aside enough time. None of these are the real reasons why people don’t get what they want from goal setting. What is the problem? The issue is that majority of people have old programming that keeps running in the background. No matter how many goals you set…or how many dreams you have…that old programming will keep preventing you from becoming who you truly want to be.
What should we do? We have to makes changes. Healthy people do healthy things without even thinking about it. And joyful people do joyful things without thinking about it. Goal setting doesn’t give you that. Your identity and your core do (this is something that you can actually CHANGE).
People say, “I want to make changes and I want to do things differently”. But they can’t get the results they want because they are stuck (this is an ongoing challenge for people). I am a public servant and hold a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Investigations from John Jay College and a Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality Management from St. John’s University. I am certified in Life & Mindfulness Meditation Coaching from New Skills Academy as well as CPR, AED, and First Aid from Advanced Medical. Also, I have been awarded other certificates throughout my career; however, the most important thing is being able to help my community. In addition, I am fluent in Spanish (puedo ofrecer todos mis servicios en ESPAÑOL).
