Members of various Hockey teams witin the Northern VA area, Including players of the Baconators Hockey Team, will be competing at the at the BFit hockey tournament hosted by Healing Heroes Foundation at the New England Sports Center in Marlborough Massachusetts.

Hey all, as many of you all know about the recent tragic plane crash, I sent this email to Pernell Disney the commissioner of the Adult Hockey League at Ashburn Ice House:

Good day Pernell,

With the recent tragic event that occurred with the plane crash, I was chatting with the Baconators and we thought of an idea that may help the victims of the event.

Would it be possible to put together a hockey memorial tournament where each rink in the region pays a fee to play with in the level of play. All money raised will go to assist families with funeral cost or other costs.

’m sure if we out this out to the other captains within the adult leagues in Ashburn, I feel they will be on board as well.

I’m sure I can get some businesses to sponsor the event if needed.

Let me know your thoughts about this?

I hope others that play in the region will reach out to their hockey commissioners and get this going.

I’ve met some great folks playing hockey.

The Bacoantors played their final game of the season and what a season it was. The Baconators had folks that never skated before but each player progressed tremendously. It’s been an honor to play with such amazing people. I look forward to see what the future holds. 🐷

I have to say to see Michael Caldon play hockey is pretty awesome. He picked up the sport pretty quickly. He will be an amazing addition to the Baconators.
