USA Powerlifting Virginia

I am very happy to announce that Danielle Resnik and Gabrielle Hahs have been elected as the new Virginia State Chairs effective today. The are both National referees and are an excellant team to carry the torch. I'm in the process of turning everything over to them. Give me a few days and they should be in control.
I greatly enjoyed my time as Virginia State Chair. To all the lifters, I'm not retiring. I'm simply turing over the reins to a younger team that is better at social media. Third attempt videos will still be a thing.

The Virginia Heat (VA-2025-09) meet will be my last USA Powerlifting compeition as Virginia State Chair. This competition is being held at Rappahannock Strength and Conditioning in Fredericksburg on July 12th. I have a number of things that I would like to unload as lifter and best lifter prizes. Today, I let the leadership know that I intend on stepping down as Virginia State Chair. The July 12th meet (VA-2025-09) will be my last meet. I’m completely exhausted and would like to spend more time with my kids before they graduate and move on. I have thoroughly enjoyed hosting these competitions over the years and hope they gave you many good memories.

As for the sanctioned competitions still on the calendar, I will be moving them to other Meet Directors. If there are any that need to be cancelled, I will refund each entry fee. Lastly, I am sorry to say that they Strength Series is now cancelled.

Every journey has a beginning. Every competitor has thier first meet. The Mega Novice Open (VA-2025-05) is being held at the Iron Built Gym in Ashland on Aug 16th and 17th. If you are looking to begin your powerlifting career or just want to dip your toe into the pool to test the temparature, this competition will be an excellant opprotunity to experience what Virginia meets have become. Any lifter who has not won an Open division at a sanctioned meet is considered a Novice and eligible to enter. All lifters are entered into the Virginia Strength Series.

The USA Powerlifting Virginia Max Effort (VA-2025-04) powerlifting competition is being held at MaxFit Performance in Williamsburg, Virginia on May 24th. I'm looking for spotters for this event. Spotters earn a salary, get free food and drink, get a killer workout and keep all competitors safe. If you are interested in helping out, contact me at [email protected].

The VIrginia Mayhem meet (VA-2025-03) occurred yesterday at Rappahannock Strength in Fredericksburg. We have a new top female open lifter in the Virginia Strength Series. We have a dozen meets left for this year that are still open for registration. Virginia meets and the Strength Series are open to any USA Powerlifting member.

I'm looking for spotters for the Virginia Mayhem (VA-2025-03) competition being held at Rappahannock Strength and Conditioning in Fredericksburg on May 10th. This is a two session, all day competition and I'm looking for experienced spotters to help keep the lifters safe. Spotters get free food and drink, earn a salary and get a killer workout.
